Yay new video. What if you guys did a video reviewing/play testing super cheap aluminum rackets to determine how important it really is to have a good racket.

played with this for 3 years straight, had issues with it just being too light and unpredictable at times. eventually went for the aero vs, but now with the vcore 98 and that seems to be a happy medium.

I was thinking of getting a more control-focused racket to replace my Pure Drive. So this has been helpful, as I was considering this or the Ezone 98!
@gladiatorstribe3 жыл бұрын
We're glad it helped! Which one are you leaning towards more ?
@Boonaldo253 жыл бұрын
@@gladiatorstribe probably the Ezone. Generally only see positive things written about them and I can demo one at my local club. Just a shame as my racket bag is babolat so they won't match! 😣
@gladiatorstribe3 жыл бұрын
@@Boonaldo25 😂😂😂 Its a great racket for sure! Just save up a little and get yourself a Yonex bag. I've used head rackets with a Yonex bag, it's not horribly bad 😂😂
@sjjapp3 жыл бұрын
@@Boonaldo25 I've used the ezone 100/98 and pure drive standard and pure drive vs. The one issue I have with the pure drive Vs is this. It's big daddy is the almighty spin monster called the pure drive yes? So a pure drive Vs must be somewhat of a spin monster too... Only, when I hit with it, it feels almost like it has an 18/20 pattern. It has some features of a pure drive but not as much as you'd expect. A great racket in its own right for the right player, but the marriage material I was looking for in a dialed down pure drive it is not (I hope it sells well enough for them go at this vs again and perhaps 'fix' this). In this sense it's a catfish. I'd recommend the Tecnifibre Trebound 298 Iga for more of what you'd expect a pure drive Vs to be, albeit missing some of the unique Babolat feel with it not being a Babolat. Not a bad thing. But it has some Babolat DNA in it feeling wise, whereas I don't feel that with the Yonex. I don't use any rackets in stock form and have my own specs, so this removes any differences between frames down to adjustable specs, so I can't comment on what the rather light Iga racket is like in stock form. But I do know it's not much lighter than most rackets like this so its weight being an issue I feel is somewhat overblown. Ezone 98 is a great racket, as is the 100. But I'd suggest trying the Iga racket and maybe the pure aero Vs before jumping ship if it's an option. Unless you prefer the Yonex feel. I'm saying this not because Yonex are inferior or something, because they're not, but rather that there are still probably at least two closer options for a 'more controlled pure drive style frame in a 98' than the ezone 98. Edit: if you're looking for a 98 Pure Drive minus the bite you'd expect and with quite a straight launch, then the pure drive Vs might still be worth a shout. Remember, this is all personal. What one person likes isn't necessarily what another will like.

@@sjjapp Is the Pure Drive VS easy to swing? It has a lower swingweight as compared to the Pure Strike 16*19, which I was planning on purchasing, but was hesitant because of its higher swingweight.

daaamn how ı missed this video? I have a pure drive, I was loving it. but lately I feel it is juuust a little bit overpowered and lacks control, love the stability and bigger sweetspot tho. I recently bought dunlop fx500 tour, 98/305 , which is said to be copy of PDvs and I liked it, very easy to swing, feeling lighter, good 1st serve coz it don't resist to whip as PD, if there is similar racket with more stability, I want to give a shoot. thank you guys, enjoying the content very much. by the way, I also have a ezone pre2020, 98/305 it feels dead, long and HH

@kvaansharifi46923 жыл бұрын
I don't trust french products, idk why!:)) For more spin do you recommend more tension on the string or lower?!
@gladiatorstribe3 жыл бұрын
Interesting 😂😂😂 The way it works for me is as follows: With higher tension it's harder to produce spin but because the ball goes slower when you hit it with high tension you gotta accelerate your arm more. Simply accelerating the arm tho will send the ball out, so what you end up doing is applying a lot of spin yourself. With lower tension to make the ball go deep you don't need to accelerate that much or apply as much spin. Summary: Less tension easier spin
