My personal theory for this song is that she became pregnant with child and perhaps was left behind by her lover. Instead of seeing this pregnancy as a gift, she began to see it only as a burdensome experience. There’s a chance she didn’t want the pregnancy or child to begin with. This was solidified to me by the lines “This is the fetus of a flower, you’ve planted. Like a sin, like a curse, you’ve tasked me with the burden of keeping the red flower blooming.” Signifying a loathing for the process of pregnancy and motherhood. I believe in the end when she counts down, she’s preparing herself to actually kill the child she feels no connection to/ love for. Dark I know, but this is only my personal interpretation

i have a bit of a horror-oriented theory on this. i agree with a lot of other folks in the comment section here that the song is probably about abortion; it seems a little obvious, but i still feel like it just isn't depressingly scary enough for a vocaloid song lmao,,, "-it shows me the light, though i can't stand on my feet" suggests that the singer is unable to walk or see, a lot like a child (or in this theory's case, a dead person) "withered flowers can't bloom a second time" makes me think of the finality of death; maybe the singer is accepting that she's dead and can't come back or that her would-have-been baby is, too. "why are you raining down on this empty, barren body?" i feel like this suggests that the singer was physically hurt/abused by whoever conceived the child with them, with "raining down" being a sort of metaphorical thing. "like a sin, like a curse, you've tasked me with the burden of keeping this red flower blooming" the singer very obviously does not want to have this child while the 'father' still does, leaving them distraught and upset that they've let this happen "that child is drifting away from me, disappearing into my dream" could either be the singer trying to kill the unborn baby via smoking, drinking, etc OR it could be them ruminating on how they hate it and wishes it were gone. "these two hands. reality. the clock hands of deceit" the singer is feeling like their time is running thin; possibly meaning that the baby could arrive soon, and is driven mad by it (suggested by "deluding. drifting.") "it cried, asking me not to take it away" and "three, two, one, zero, it's dead" could be the singer hyping themselves up to rid of the baby in a painful way before doing it, probably by stabbing herself and, by extension, the baby "that child is drifting away from me, disappearing into my dream" would be the baby finally dying, and "i'm breaking apart, crashing to the bottom of my dream" would be the singer dying shortly after it. "i'm breaking apart" would be literal this time, and "my flower has been robbed of it's color" is the singer lamenting about her decaying body TL;DR: the singer is dead and retelling how her baby and her died
@toastw71053 жыл бұрын
this holds a lot of water, i think i'm gonna go with this theory as for my interpretation of it. i also thought the "why do you still rain down" line might be a reference to how her family was in denial about her and her baby being dead? like how when flowers wilt, they don't bloom again, so watering it ("raining down") isn't going to bring it back no matter how hard you try

I've seen that many people say that the song is about an abortion but I really don't think that's it. After listening to the song several times ( i also like the song) I came to the conclusion that it is about a sterile woman, who dreams of being a mother and has already tried several times to get pregnant, but it always fails, the point is that she finally succeeds and the baby remains alive until the moment its born, in which it dies. [it shows me the light, thought I can't stand on my feet] here the woman says that the baby (be pregnant) made her feel hope (the light) but having difficulties with the pregnancy is difficult for her - [withered flowers can't bloom a second time] refers to the fact that dead people cannot come back to life. This makes sense in the end [why are you raining down on this empty barren body! ] here I think it refers to why her partner keeps trying to give hes "seed" when he knows that she is sterile (this is before she gets pregnant) [the pulce of my heard is quickening] bc is giving birth * [this is the fetus of the flower you planted] *[like a sin, like a curse, You've tasked me whit the burden of keeping this red flower blooming] refers to the fact that her partner left her all the weight of keeping the child alive in her womb (it does not mean that her partner did not help her, simply that as she was the pregnant woman she is the one who keeps the baby alive) + [that child is drifting away from me, disappearing into my dream] the baby is dying and "disappears from her dream" because she is losing hope that in her dream of being a mother or in general, the child is with her . [the clock hands of deceit] The minutes go by and thinking that she would live happily with her son, she knows that it won't be like that, that's why "the deceit" [it cried, asking me not to take it away] ok, I speak Spanish and in the translation into my language it was translated as "I cry asking myself, i didn't take it " but I just saw that it doesn't say the same in eng and you can create another idea , so I translated it on my own "tsuretekanai de to naite ita" and the translation was "I couldn't get along" so to continue with my theory I will use this one. That she did not meet his son, I mean, could not get along with him [three, two, one, zero, he's dead] the baby's birth countdown, and as it says in the song, he's dead + [this child is going away from me, disappearing in my dream] again the same [I'm breaking] breaking up emotionally + [crashing to the bottom of my dream] the same but in a more aggressive way (?) - [the color of my flower has been stolen] as it says at the beginning "withered flowers (without color) do not bloom” saying that "the color of my flower was stolen" it means that the life of his son was stolen. Thats all, tanks 4 read hehe

Weirdly, I interpret it differently from an abortion as well, but I interpret it instead as a rapist that defiled the innocence of a young woman (perhaps still a teenager or even a child). "That child is going away from me, disappearing in my dream" is something I interpreted as a struggle between dissociation from the sexual trauma in her past... and wanting to keep in contact with her past self because it held that childlike innocence that's now been corrupted. So, "that child" is the woman to me. And "it cried, asking me not to take it away" is sort of a detached view of the situation where the woman blames herself for putting herself in the situation and hears her own cries as someone else's after she dissociates from that past self. (First, denial, and then blaming herself.) I see metaphors for regression, dissociation, and reconciling a past that was forgotten in this song. Buuut... I'm heavily biased as someone with DID (so, dissociation) partially from sexual trauma, lol. I sorta projected us onto this song. I like this interpretation, too! It makes a lot more logical sense without the bias.

There are some theories in the comment section, one about a miscarriage (which I think is really plausible), but I personally thought it was about abortion. She says she "was tasked" with growing this child (presumably in her uterus), and later that "he cried not to take it away". This "he" is probably the father of the unborn child. The mother probably wasn't ready for a child and wanted to abort, with the father pleading to keep it. Eventually, it was her own decision and she got it taken out. While she didn't want a child, she still feels guilty, as people who go through an abortion often do, and feels that she was robbed of something by doing this. The line "it's dead" really makes me believe this however. She knew what she was doing but after the fact, when she saw the dead fetus probably smaller than her hand, it really kicked in: it's dead and I killed it. It's "a sad song" because abortion in general is a sad and painful thing to go through.
@RivaiwarenaiRivai4 жыл бұрын
Personally i wouldn't call it a theory bacause a song goes quite obvious with it's meaning: you can even see some child's/embryo's silhouettes through a video, some footages of child's conceiving on a microlevel which instantly reveal us what kind of flower fetus was planted. And later you subconsciously notice how this white pure silhouette becomes a bloody red mass which can only be associated in that case with, well, you know what. So, a video montage just says for a music and for itself. It's cool how people make this vids for babuchan music cause you can understand a song without even knowing a language.
@artema.4 жыл бұрын

@undersealullaby58373 жыл бұрын
I just thought the same thing, I wrote a kinda similar theory a few years ago, and I also think "balloon" can be a reference to a childish way to see a pregnant belly. This can refer to the woman in the song's own perspective of her own belly : she doesn't see it as bearing a new life, but nothing more than a simple and empty balloon. She doesn't get attached to her baby, she doesn't "feel" it as alive. That's why she has no reason to keep it.
@harumuu3 жыл бұрын
this song is a bit confusing, because both theories make sense at certain parts of the song (the beginning with the "you tasked me with the burden" makes it seem like an abortion but the "my flower has been robbed of its color" makes it sound more like a miscarriage) but i suppose thats so you can interpret it in different ways
