Gosh, you really are the best. I was about seventeen the first time I changed a diaper... I found myself in a situation where I had to help a friend and I realized, "Oh my gosh I have no clue how to do this..." I'm due at the end of June and after doing so much research, no one tells you how to do these basic things like brushing their hair or clipping their nails. Thank you so much.

I love all your content and find it unique because there's not a lot of mums who talk about basic things that can be difficult. Loving these 101 videos, thank you so much for sharing what you have learnt with us. The tips are amazing, but it's also really helpful seeing you do these things in real life. I can't remember if it was part 1 or 2, but the reason I have been able to get my 5 week old to sleep in her own bed for the last few nights is because of your videos. Now I sleep much better between feeds as Im not positioned awkwardly like I was when co-sleeping as I was so scared of rolling on her, which was killing my back, and she's doing much better at napping throughout the day and letting me poodle around the house without having to be attached to her 100% of the time. Thank you

Thank you for sharing your experience. First time mom and I think I'm developing depression already just because of the cycle of taking care of my newborn who is now almost 9 month old and just couldn't get hold of things I used to do. Like I was good at multi-tasking at work and at home cleaning and I get things done back then just how I wanted them to be. But now, things have changed to the point I get questioned and/or instructed on how to take care of my baby. But they do not know how difficult it is specifically if you're just alone (my husband works almost all of his time and helps me sometimes). It is just overwhelming and there were days that I couldn't take a bath, and held my pee for almost 4 hours. It's overwhelming, really. So thank you thank you so very much! From the Philippines.

Ear infections are a pain in the butt! My daughter has had them chronically since she was about Wilson’s age. Most kids got middle/inner ear infections because their ear tubes are so tiny gunk and bacteria can get trapped really easily and cause an infection; this can also happen as a result of a cold, since there is more ‘gunk’ that usual (ew). This can spread to the outer ear and - like you said- water will make it worse (the whole bacteria love a warm wet place thing). From what I can understand the ear infections are super duper painful and just makes the kids feel a bit poorly, but most will grow out of having them too frequently by about the age of five. I love your videos so much, you are such a lovely calming person to watch and I send you all my love xx EDIT: my daughter always found that the best relief was using heating packs on her ear along with over the counter medicines - obviously might be more complicated for a baby though :) I hope Wilson is feeling better soon and you are doing an amazing job!

My 8 month old son is a difficult eater. He shuns the veg purees and goes for the fruit or hard carbs, I gave him banana pancakes this morning and he loved them. The way I get him to eat his veg is pretend to give him a small crumb of bread, then I put the spoon of veg into his mouth. I feel so guilty tricking him like that but I do end up giving him the crumb after each spoon. Also I don't intend to keep this up, just until he's familiar with the veg 'taste' and tolerates it more.

We have started baby led weaning and so far she loves bananas and baked carrots. Her favorite thing to do when she's being fussy is go outside, which I've heard even since she was a newborn that a change in temp (warmer or colder than indoors) calms them down and so I try to take her on a walk everyday or she just sits in her stroller while Dad works on the truck and she's happy!:)

@@mumijevi (i wrote a lot sorry) Think that there are 13 year old girls nowadays who get pregnant and deliver a healthy baby. Imagine what new moms did back in the days where no KZbin videos or written guides were available. Sure, the women got help since they were home with their mother in law/other close women that stayed at home as well, but I still remind to myself that they had no fancy equipments, not an advanced medical help, and probably some of the older experienced women at the family were ill or died young due to those times medical situation was bad. I just want you to know a baby needs to eat, to sleep to continue his development, and we only help him to stay warm and to stay clean by changing him or bathing. My sister has 6 kids. Of course the first ones (they are twins) had all the equipment, care and help. But as the number of kids went up, so her awareness did, that kids don't need that much. Her latest kids are twins as well. She found out some techniques that helped her maintain with 4 little kids& newborn twins. she rarely jumps when they cry, she doesnt feed them on her hands - she puts them on a pillow and place the bottle on them in an angle so the food reaches their mouth. They share a bed together. They play independently. And those nb twins are already 2.5 year old now, healthy and strong. I'm just trying to say, that again, babies don't need that much, and of course as they get older, we educate and teach them the basics. Im sorry if it's long. I hope u read it. There are some people who just know they don't want kids because of career or other reasons. If that's not the case and you actually want to be a mom, let yourself into it, relax, we all cried and got confused at first, but we learn to be better. I still recommend you to take care of babies, try to at every occasion you get. Ask the parent that you are familiar with to hand you the baby for some minutes . You will feel wonders&joy. I myself had an abortion at age19. Then I got an ectopic pregnancy & then another one that ended up with a miscarriage. Today I am nearly 24 y/o, pregnant at 20 weeks. It was not planned but I know that is all for best. I myself live alone with my partner. We are far from our families (my family doesn't want to talk to me), and I have no real real friends as well to be honest, so I will have to deal with it on my own. With my bf. I thank God for the opportunity i was given with my nephews, since it got me prepared. I am sure I will be shocked, tired and upset, but I know this little one will get all the love he can get. Thank you for reading, I look forward for your reply. ☺️
