I'd love to see a grocery budget video from you guys. We eat very similarly but I've had to give up things like pasture raised eggs because of the insane prices of food these days. We are a family of 6 but my kids are a bit older and probably eat a little more than yours. It's a struggle to keep our budget below $1300 for the month, we often do more like 1500. Some months I get it lower but that requires eating through our freezer and pantry and that typically means the following month I need to replenish us

She’s too young” but I’m surprised to learn that a) she’s super enthusiastic about learning, b) she’s actually picking it up quite quickly, and c) it provides such a good opportunity for bonding and some calm activities that don’t involve the screen. I’m also glad to hear your intermittent fasting! I’m doing the same because this is how my body feels best. I am a, (almost 30) mama of 4 and I gotta say you’re the first mama(pregnant), that I’ve seen online enjoying IF! The majority of people I seen doing it and benefiting health wise was young ladies really on their fitness game and always in the gym, where fitness and nutrition was their life. Honestly it reeled me in cause here I was trying to lose some pp weight after baby number 4 and I decided to give it a go for the science aspect. Specifically just how I felt-how it worked for me(CAUSE EVERY-BODY’S DIFFERENT, literally). Here’s my take: I wake up at 4:30, 5am and workout. I was taking a pre-workout(keto approved so like 5-10 cals), then I would drink my warm lemon water when work was completed. I was waiting till 10-11 to eat because I wanted to do 16/8 which is traditional best for woman cause all our hormones😊 BUT my husband gets home late-r so I hadda keep my cut off window at 6-7pm, so we could eat as a family. Lemme tell ya, I was a MONSTER, like hangry is not even the right word anymore waiting that last hour to eat in the morning. I literally had to sit and watch someone else eating a “cheat meal” in order not to go eat… So, strike one, it made me unbearable and unreasonable to anyone near me. (And I did it for 6weeks.)Strike two if I adjusted my eating schedule(to best benefit me)I would have zero family meals, which is valuable bonding time. I quit! I already knew how to lose weight and successfully get back to my pre-baby weight after every baby. Little back story on that, I LOVE nutrition and working out! Can’t imagine life without that aspect actually, for me that’s the easy part of life, the physical side 💪 (I struggle more with the mental side of motherhood) That is why working closely with my midwives they never had any worries with my body eating whatever I needed and wanted durning my pregnancies . And boy can I eat, first baby gained 80lbs, second 35, third 45, fourth 60lbs. Middle two were girls lol! All healthy babies ranking from 7-10lbs. I’m 5’ 2” btw but a healthy lifestyle is my life. I’ve been living it since childhood and my Mama taught me all that I know ❤ to lose weight successfully w/o IF I love THM and Keto🤌🏼 I cook every meal from scratch and sometimes it’s “dirty” or “crossovers”. Sometimes the journey is slower then I expected but I’m building lean muscle everyday which helps burn more fat! Currently 11 months postpartum and one dress size left before I’m back to my size from teenage years. 😅 what I do works and it has for me every time tried and true. But like I said that’s why I wanted to try IF after hearing others rave reviews, I just wanted to geek out on it! So glad I did, cause now I know it’s NOT for me😝 blessings on your own journeys! It takes awhile to find your groove sometimes but when u do it will be sustainable for you and yours and u won’t have to live your life focusing on food lol. Cause that was me on IF 👋

I keep rewatching this video for the food inspo and because you’re one of the only ones I can find that admits they tried a ‘fast’ like structure while pregnant. It’s so controversial. Glad to see your little son was born so healthy and beautiful. I’m 28 weeks pregnant with our second son and almost at my birth weight of my first son too… (Note: I started at a higher weight than pre-pregnancy). I’ve changed some things and have started focusing more on nutrients and decreasing my eating window (15/9) and it has better made me a “colder” eater and I don’t feel ravenous in the morning! I love that. I also feel like I’m more mindful about what I eat when I ‘break’ the fast and feel more myself. Hopefully can keep that up for the last 3 months of pregnancy!

Very interesting and timely for me. Just got unexpectedly pregnant with our 6th baby - in the midst of a planned weight loss (through sports, intermittent fasting and healthier diet). Only lost 12 pounds so far out of 20 I'd aiming for. Even though I'm very happy to be pregnant, the thought of only gaining weight from this point was not a great perspective. I just thought I'd be trying to gain as little as healthily possible. Didn't even even occur to me to try to still lose some weight cause it's always said to be dangerous. But I'd trust your experience and that gives me hope. Thanks!

They just answeted this question in things they say no to one of it being no to kid food. My takeaway from them was to ask the child to take a polite bite out of each food and pick the one they liked most so its its rice no the protein they can have more of the rice until they are full. I think encouraging a taste test is always great to expose their tastes. Im not saying my kids arent picky they sure are. But not plating them the same food as the adults woud just continue encouraging the pickyness. I was shocked how many times my son would change his mind about the food and end up eating it at times!

Thank you for sharing this! Just a tip about knife skills, I highly recommend starting to use a non-serrated chef’s knife for most chopping (like for onions, mushrooms, most veggies, etc.) and using a motion of pushing forward and downwards to cut (instead of sawing back and forth or pulling towards yourself). It may feel weird at first, but it is a worthwhile investment of time because once you get good knife skills and can cut much much faster, it makes food prep (especially large family food prep-we have 5 kids) much more efficient! And you can also pass those knife skills on to your kids. :) Does not have to be a super expensive knife, amazon has some decent options, just can sharpen regularly with an inexpensive knife sharpener (there are some for less than $8). But your serrated knife is definitely the way to go for tomatoes and bread. 😊 Also, unless you need full circles of onions for something like burgers, it is much safer to cut the onion in half lengthwise first before then slicing to dice. You can do it! :)

Hello Katie❣️I think to save time and kitchen cleanup I would serve the same breakfast to mama and the kiddos. Also because God dose not allow eating pork, I would avoid the bacon. You do have a lot of good tips to share. May Yeshua bless you all❣️🥰💕🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💕💕👫👫👫👫👫
