Annika is a baby it's easier for children to adjust anywhere..but what I admire is how you, Johanna tries your best to adapt to the indian culture which is entirely different from how you have grown up and not so easy at all..even in India people who are born and raised in the city find it difficult in the villages where amenities are not available..but you are always smiling ..keep smiling and be happy always ☺️

The beauty and charm of village life - full of peace and serenity, stress free, no fancy things around - all is natural - what you see is what you get - these are the reasons why people in the village tend to have longer life span. As always, Annika is the apple of everyone's eye but what I am impressed most is her bonding with her great grand aunt - she looked enjoying being carried by the elderly lady. On the other hand, I am impressed Johanna for taking Indian culture and tradition wholeheartedly. You're adapting very well.
@JohannaNorth2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for the kind words :) You're definitely right that there's a certain simplicity and tranquility to village life, but at the same time it must be said that it's also demanding and stressful in its own way and lots of hard physical work all day long everyday. I'm not too sure if people in indian villages do really have a longer life span, but at least my family has discussed many times about the hard, village life and how people tend to get older more quickly. But that said, all living environments have their pros and cons and the quality and ease of living should be provided everywhere :)

Village life May look romantic in videos. They have their own problems. Basic infrastructure, health care. Livelihoods entirety dependent on weather, rains etc. Health statistics, life span etc May not bear out the assumption Indian villagers have a healthier life style. One shouldn’t confuse villages in Europe tomIndian villages where electricity, basic plumbing and water supply are still major issue. However it is admirable effort to bond with the family in the remote villages. Annika will be all the more “richer” with the experience and opportunity.

Today, many children do not make them stroke lovingly themselves even to their relatives. Let alone caressing the children with love, they do not even let them near. They immediately make a fuss. Annika's spirit and character endear her to everybody who met her. How warmly Annika treats her newly seen relatives at her ver young age without any hesitation. I hope she never loses this her beautiful feature. Meanwhile, in my country children aren't allowed to sit in the front of cars. You have to install a child seat at the back of the car.

Johanna after telling you that I don't want to return to India.... This video makes me want to go back 😀 hahahahaha 😀😀😀😀😀😀 oh my gosh the villages, the love and the sweets. It creates sooooo much happiness inside of me. And I did have incredible times in India. But at the same time i do remember the difficulties with the cultural differences that you explained so well in this video. The health and safety in India scares the shit out of me sometimes, the noise, the chaos, the monsoon rains and power cuts gave me great challenges. Also my family are so relieved I am now in the uk as the law systems and police operation systems can differ alot in India. That was my biggest challenge. Re I hated that fact that if you have money you can pay off a policeman and get away with crime. It's so ugly and corrupt and that really needs to change. You do soooooooo well in India Johanna.. You are AMAZING. I will always appreciate my indian roots, the cultural depth and the positive side of Hinduism.... But I would like to see alot more equality between the rich and the poor, less harrassment and less corruption. Many people in India tell me that it is the best country in the world and if I don't agree then I must be against India . No country is the best, they are all different and we should all appreciate the good side of every country. Well..m that's my view anyway 😀 Love namaste and Blessings Kas ❤️🕉️❤️🕉️❤️🕉️❤️🕉️❤️🕉️

@@JohannaNorth Happy Diwali lovely lady Johanna and thanku soooo MUCH for your understanding. In all honesty I would rather remain out of India as that way I am in a far better position to influence the changes I want to see in India. If I tried to make change whilst in India then it's a high possiblity that I would be targeted, tormented and tortured. (Such things have happened to me in India). Of course im not against India as it has so many wonderful things and so many wonderful beings but sadly the dark side is horrific.but may the light of Diwali shine brightly in India for all those who really need that light. Love namaste and blessings to you and your family. Kas ❤️🕉️❤️🕉️❤️🕉️❤️🕉️❤️🕉️❤️

@@mugdhanbapat thank you my darling. I returned to India. ❤ it already seems different. For example, there are people here who do not wish to put nationalism before women's safety. And i have learnt that corrupt business people pay off the lower rank police for bribes etc. And now this is becoming common knowledge. There's definitely more awareness of the difficult issues. And i for sure enjoy the REAL India. Re the villages, the scenery, the food etc. The difficult side is not real India. Annika is pure joy and she spreads it everywhere she goes. Hats off to Vinod and you, Johanna to give her experiences of both the cultures and she blends them so so beautifully, so lovingly. I haven’t seen anything like this ever before in my life and that’s why I want to keep coming back to your vlogs to replenish myself with this love and joy you all bring to my life 🤗♥️💜

Johanna, You look so happy and accommodating in any part of India, I always wondered that is amazing! I lived in the West past 45 yrs, now I find India is not so easy like you do. May be old age??!
@JohannaNorth2 жыл бұрын
I'm sure age must be a factor! You have been living in the west even longer than I have been alive :) And of course I don't really share those moments when I'm struggling a lot, which happens often too!

Johanna dear I still remember your visit to the village during your pregnancy!..seeing you in mithai store again was like a little kid in candy store.I also remember malpooda being prepared outside on wood stove!…somehow village life specially women still cooking in wood stove sadden me! But then never got to experience pure love and affection the way you guys do specially Annika. So much love and bond she showed to them it was just priceless. ❤️😍🥰

Ah yes the malpua! I miss it. Maybe we'll get to have it next time, hopefully during the winter season! It resembles Finnish pancakes a lot so I think Annika will love it too, the sweet tooth she has :)

Villages are the place where people actually live , they speak to cattle they look after the trees, soil and speak with fellow human beings intensely . Where in cities people merely survive the day.

Johanna you are such a beautiful person, to be that open, perceptive, empathetic and mature is remarkable. I grew up in a large city in India, and as familiar as I was with our customs etc, I doubt I could have handled adjusting to life in a village with its lack of amenities as gracefully as you do.
@JohannaNorth2 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure if I do it gracefully at all, if you ask me or Vinod who gets to listen to me when I’m struggling 😅 but I do try to keep it between us, as I feel it’s important to respect other people’s homes. And it’s easier to consider it an adventure when we’re just on a short visit! 😊

That's how grandparents and grandchild bonds are built.
