Baby Apollo Trying to Bathe

This is Apollo very shortly after we got him, he isn't even a year old. It's cute to see how clumsy he used to be, granted he had a very poor wing clipping done before we got him second hand from the pet store.
Apollo is our African Grey parrot we've had since December 2020.

While this is adorable and makes me want a gray even more, I sure hope these long-format videos help make people aware of how not ready for an African gray they are 😂

I love seeing these videos so much and seeing how smart this species and all birds are. But I can't have an animal that is smarter than me lol. 😂😂😂😂 Also all pets, not just cats and dogs, deserve an environment and human companion that knows their species well, where they don't just survive, but thrive and live amazing lives. And that's not something I could provide. Even a dog is too much responsibility for me right now lol. I know a parrot, especially this species, is way beyond something I could handle lol. There can be a lot of hate and terrible things on the Internet, but the best thing about the Internet is people sharing videos of their pets and their relationship with those pets. You can tell these two are perfect parents for Apollo. I'm so grateful that they share these videos.

Best part is when you give them a nice shower, and then the very next day you come home to their water bowl being flung out all over your floor and wall from them sticking their big ol butts in like this. Greys are rooting birds!! They WILL root! 😂

Birds outlive you. I had a parakeet that talked all manner of shyte. I'm so glad I didn't get a big bird like this. My friend's cocktail outlived her. Thankfully she had a friend who took her in.
