I literally love the message this is sending. She’s one of the few influencers who releases music that doesn’t have repetitive meaningless lyrics (that were written by someone else) and she can actually sing so she doesn’t have to over auto tune. I think she can actually get far in pop music.

A lot of people are talking about how the two of them were together and then they helped each other discover themselves, but that's not really it. The two of them don't actually know each other, but it's two different stories that have been combined into one. The guy’s trying to come out to his dad, and wants to wear what he can wear, without being criticized for it, and is letting out his feminine side. While Ariel is also letting her more masculine side take over her, instead of the stereotypical girl that she’s portrayed as. And the two of them are confused in the beginning, but they don't let it take over them. And it works out in the end :)
