Baby attacks sleeping great-grandpa

8 month old baby "sneaks" up on his 91 year old great grandfather who is taking a nap in the middle of the living room floor (completely normal behavior).
For those "concerned" about grandpa wearing shoes inside...Thank you all for your kind and attentive concern...grandpa doesn't go outside much due to limited mobility. These shoes feel good on his feet and he chooses to wear them even though we've bought him brand new ones. I'm not going to argue with the sage wisdom of a respectable 92 year old WWII veteran...I let him wear his shoes and believe my baby is healthier and wiser for it :)
Maybe I should add "while wearing shoes inside" to the title....

Ok, I myself didn't thumb this down because dislikes don't address useful criticism. Try to differentiate a little bit though! Not every disliker is necessarily a frustrated or even abusive misanthrope, some actually do that to raise awareness of, for example, the serious risks of making personal material available online - yet alone content of underaged children, who can't yet defend their right of privacy. So I think critical minds decide to dislike on their behalf, especially since the public never considers the unpopular, boring old facts... Pedophilia experts and child abuse investigators don't say over and over again *"Keep your children's faces, names and ages off the world wide web!"* for no reason. You have no idea how easy it is for a pedophile to track down an uploader ID (not to mention the inconsiderate users saying their full name, city, home state 🤦🏻‍♀️)! I guess we are so used to exposing our lives online and so excited about that pseudo- celebrity status, that we've lost track of what it is we put at stake. And obviously, social media won't remind us of the risks, since personal data are the most valuable currency of our time. Bottom line, I agree there are too many haters online, and in any way dislikes lead to confusion rather than enlightenment, yet I see the intention behind some of them. These uploads are as cute as they are problematic!

I love that grandpa! His hands immediately went under the table so baby does not get hit on head there and get hurt. Before that same thoughts went through my head and I saw grandma's hands move. He allows the baby to explore on his own but prevent any hurt.

Great-Grandparents are really a gift because usually they have so much wisdom and are so detached from the trivial bullshit in life by their old age. I was lucky to have heard some amazing stories from my great grandpa before he passed at age 98. When he was 95 he fell while working out in the shed and crawled for an hour across his gravel driveway before pulling himself into the house and up onto a chair, refusing to use his life alert. My great grandma is the strongest person I know and if she makes it to Thanksgiving this year she’ll be 100. Lived through the depression- and had to raise her siblings like a mother as her dad left the family when she was young. One thing that always stood out to me was that when she was only about 10 she’d walk with her siblings for 5 miles in each direction just to get to the local hole in the ground they called a swimming pool. It’s sort of astounding because that wasn’t something they gave any thought, yet there’s no way in hell anyone in the next generations would even try to do that, much less be allowed by their parents.
