Excellent tutorial instructions and clear video. Your calming voice is incredibly helpful too. A friend just had twin girls and both of them have the same middle name of “Rose”. I’m making two blankets like these for them… one with light pink rose buds and one with a darker pink rose buds. I’m using some rico baby baby soft dk yarn I had on hand and they are working up beautifully. Thank you ever so much for posting this blanket tutorial!!

Both blankets turned out beautiful and the twins Mother was as happy as can be. I made 6 motifs per blanket. If I had more time I think 9 would have looks best. They are a good size for placing over the baby in their car seat or infant carrier. I’m still trying to figure out how to add a photo so you can see my work. I’m not very computer savvy but I will continue to try. Thank you again for a beautiful pattern and excellent tutorial in every way!

What a fabulous video!! Do you think the last 5 rows of instruction could be used as a border for a baby blanket? I mean: green leaf, white loop, rose bud, white.(U.S.+ left-handed! 😜)

could this be done as a big granny square instead of small ones?
@TiaraLaceCrochet Жыл бұрын
Yes it could with some adaptations. Once round 7 is completed you could continue working rounds using the traditional granny square style, it is entirely up to the individual, so long as you work the corners the same and end with a hdc border that you can work the rosebuds in, it should work out well. The squares work up well in thicker yarn too but you may need to reduce the number of hdc popcorn sts down from 5 to 3 hdc. I hope this helps.

Amazing! I just discovered your channel. Thank you for sharing this with us. I am in Canada and I appreciated the basic stitch paper you shared, it did clear up the terminology. I don’t have access to style craft yarn, but I am wondering if you had an approximate amount of yarn you would have used to make this as a baby blanket. Thank you for your time.
@TiaraLaceCrochet3 жыл бұрын
Hi Dorothy, the baby blanket i made is 4 squares by 3. The yarn is UK double knit which is a 3 weight. I have just weighed it and it weighs 250 grams. I didn't make a note of how much of each of the yarns i used but with white being the main colour Iwould suggest 150g of the white, 100g of the pink as it is used for the popcorn stitch...a real yarn eater and 50 g of the green will more than cover it. Hope this helps. best wishes Susan

@@TiaraLaceCrochet thank you so much Susan. I was guessing for the amount and this information helps greatly. Now I have a lovely yarn in mind for this sweet project. Take care and stay safe. Dorthy

Beautiful workmanship I love it! How many squares do you need for a baby blanket?
@TiaraLaceCrochet3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I made a small baby blanket and used 3 x 4 squares totaling 12. Counting the width of the squares and joining braid and borders my blanket would measure approx 23 inches x 31 inches when blocked. Each square alone measures 6.5 x 6.5 inches. Hope this helps.

When you say a single crochet in the back of the rose 🌹 bud is it behind it or you go through the rose
@TiaraLaceCrochet4 жыл бұрын
The sc goes under the stitch that closed the (pop corn stitch). This is behind it just to the left. See video at 17.19 or 18.02 mins. Hope this helps if not I will post a little video to make it clearer.
