Susan I to enjoy doing amigurumi. Taking the yarn and watching the personality of each character come to life with each stitch. Each character I make gives me such joy, especially when I share them with a child or an adult who is over come with joy upon receiving them, so satisfying. There is the sweetest young boy at my church who is crazy about Spiderman and I will be attempting to make Spidy for him very soon. Love all of the Peter Rabbit characters they are adorable♥God bless, be safe and stay well.

Hi Deborah, I totally agree it really is lovely watching the little characters personalities come alive. I was out for lunch with my friend when I gave her Peter Rabbit and she literally jumped up from the table, gave me a hug and all the people nearby were smiling. I'm sure your Spiderman will be so gratefully received, you may end up with lots of requests🙂

Susan, you have inspired me! I am going to give these cuties a try! I have to thank you. You helped me so very much when I was learning to crochet. I watched and rewatched many of your tutorials. I began my journey a few years ago by wanting to be able to stitch lace borders on pillowcases like my Granny used to have. That’s how I found you. I moved forward with crocheting lots of goodies like baby blankets and booties and hats. And amigurumi has been so fun to learn. Without you and your peaceful voice and wonderful teaching style, I would not have discovered all the fun of this hobby. So thank you, thank you. How I wish we were neighbors so we could enjoy a cup of tea on a rainy afternoon and stitch together. My heart breaks that you lost your Mother. I know that you were a great caregiver for her. She will always be part of you, with every memory you have of her. It was just ten years last month that my Mom passed. I miss her every day. And though I’m sad at times, I feel so much comfort remembering her laugh. She could make anyone she met feel like they were the only person in the room. Sending you warm greetings and care from St. Louis, Missouri, USA! 😊 💐 ~Kelly

Hi Kelly, so lovely to hear I have inspired you to give the little characters a try. It is especially lovely to hear you like lace borders on pillow cases and the connection to your Granny. It would be so lovely to have a cup of tea and crochet, knit, sew, chat with you too. I watch Kate from The Last Homely House and she has a virtual lime green sofa which i think is just so imaginative and lots of her you tube friends sit on it chat and pass the biscuits around. We are all connected and that is the part of the beauty of our shared passion for different crafts. I can understand you miss your mum everyday but at the same time remember lovely things about her. I am just so grateful that I was blessed with a lovely mum and dad too. Lovely to hear where you are from 😊 Sending best wishes from North Wales 🌻

I’ve just bought some Scheepjs Stonewashed and I think it will be lovely to crochet the bodies with. I do like Jemima, a sweet design. Thanks for the very clear tutorial, very easy to follow. Hoping you can help; I'm trying to get the second row of a star stitch border started - how to I get to the 3rd stitch of the 5 hdc without cutting the yarn? Slip stitching back to the 3rd hdc makes the corner lumpy.
@TiaraLaceCrochet17 күн бұрын
Sorry to hear you are finding the corner goes lumpy. Try going down a hook size just for the slip stitches. Other than that cutting the yarn and starting afresh may be the only option.

@sunshine56ful19 күн бұрын
Is there a certain multiple or will this work with any number of stitches?
@TiaraLaceCrochet16 күн бұрын
The wavy shells are made in multiples of 4. Before starting the border make sure you have multiples of 4 down each side of your project, if you have chain corners. If you have solid corners make sure you have multiples of 4 around the entire project. You may find the wave may not always match up exactly with a corner. This stitch is very forgiving so don't worry if you need to skip a stitch or increase.

Your explanation is simple and direct, but it's your camera work which I feel far exceeds other videos. It's so important to see which stitches are being talked about that sometimes are not shown as clearly as you're able to do. It's that closeup camera work that makes your video so easy to understand and follow.
