What brand of white cardstock papers do you use!? You are amazing with those albums, you whipped them up in no time. Can't wait to for the 2nd half and the finished look, the recipient will be so pleased with your talented craftsmanship.

I have been watching her tutorials for a while, and usually she uses lightweight cardstock for the signatures (or page bases) lightweight cardstock is usually 65#. I am not sure which brand she uses, but if you go by the weight listed on the package, then most will say if it is heavyweight or lightweight and have a pound (lb) reference for thickness. Except Hobby Lobby brand paper - it's the only cardstock that doesn't say what the weight of it is, sometimes it may say "heavyweight cardstock" and other times, it doesn't say if it is heavyweight or lightweight... and sometimes Michaels brands of cardstock paper doesn't always have it listed on the exterior of their packaging either. Which is always annoying! If you watch more of Rosa Kelly's tutorials, you will get a gist of which brands she usually uses and the weight of the cardstock she uses the most for each aspect of an album. I hope this helps. :)

Rosa, this is amazing. I am new to trying mini albums and this has helped me a lot. I was wondering is possible to scale this same album up to 9.5 x 9.5 or even 10x10. A friend is having their first baby so I wanted to make something a larger but not sure how to scale all the measurements. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Rosa, I've just started watching your tutorials and the way you work is Amazing :) and scrapbook albums are Beautiful. My baby boy is turning one this month and I'm planning to make a Scrapbook album for him :) I need some clarifications on Paper pad I can see that you are using 65lb paper pad with, 110lb for the base signature pages and 65lb for the hinges and wrapping the chipboard cover. However, I've Baby Boy paper pads of 300gsm( 80lb to110lb approximately) so will it be a good idea to use 300gsm( 80-110lb) for base signature pages and also for printed paper pads? Or what would be best practice and combinations of cardstocks to use for Base signature pages, hinges, wrapping chipboard cover, and printed paper packs/pads? Kindly reply . Thank you. I have a question: I am to the step where I cover the pages with my pattered paper but I have noticed on the pages where the flip out is 7.5 like the base page that part of the flip out tab is visible since you said to cut the patterned paper at 7.25 so that there is a 1/8 inch boarder of white around it. I hope that makes sense. This is an issue that of course can be prevented the next time I make one by cutting those tabs at an angle like you did on the pocket but I already have all the base pages complete and taped down and do not want to start over on the several pages . Right now the only solution I have come up with is to glue a white piece of 7.5x7.5 cardstock on top before I glue down the piece of 7.25x7.25 pattern paper down. Does anyone else have a better idea? I can’t tell in the video if yours are visible like mine but I would rather not see those tabs in the corners. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
