Will I make fabric paper she says?! 😂 I started watching this video at about 11:30 PM in my attempt to go to bed. I then jumped up out of bed. Halfway through the video, remembering that my daughter just gave me nearly a whole bolt of muslin, coupled with the fact that I recently found some floral napkins. My first piece of fabric paper is now drying and I’m obsessively dreaming up all of my FUTURE ones! How I will ever sleep again I do not know. Mind you, this is after I recently became obsessed with the delicious crinkly, tissue paper and glue paper that I learned from you! You have no idea how completely in awe of you I am. I could never thank you enough for the knowledge and inspiration you’ve given me 🌹

I just made a small journal with a piece of handmade paper that is not backed with fabric, but I do like this idea with the fabric for extra sturdiness. I will have to try this out. My favorite is also the faux-leather piece. I'm like you when I get the thought in my head, "I wonder if I should keep going or I wonder if I'm going to ruin it?" and just keep going. Sometimes it turns out and other times it would have been best to stop. Sometimes you can fix it and other times you can't and have to make that version the best you can. Kinda like life. I believe more people need to make art to understand that not everything is perfect, purposeful, or always linear. Thanks, Natasha. As always, great ideas and excellent projects.

You are such a fun person so glad you let your light shine for us to enjoy . The dragon skin is super cool love the way it was made I'm definitely going to make some of both...I started sewing at 12 my mother taught me made any thing and everything husband 2 kids and at 62 I put most of my fabric in the shed and started making junk journals or treasure books blew my family's mind ...you have been a big part of that journey so inspiring so much fun..65 and loving it...from Idaho, USA thank you so very much :)

I just tried your tissue paper on fabric technique. I had dark pink not orange so I used that. With 3 paint colors. It’s drying before I may highlight with a bit of gold as you did. Thanks Natasha! ❤️ I’m a disabled artist like Frida (my mentor) so I work in spurts as able. I so enjoyed this. I will definitely use mine for a journal cover.

You already know I love your work - but I'm FLOORED by the generosity of this video and the beautiful techniques and projects in it. I adore them all. The "dragon skin" (love that!) tissue paper journal cover is the star, but the supporting cast is also brilliant - I never thought of mixing up different patterned napkins, but they look so good. And this is just the tip of the iceberg - you've sparked so many ideas! Even the journal flip-throughs are inspiring - some new ideas, here too. I love a plain, minimally embellished journal, and these are beautiful. The little one from offcuts would be perfect for a project I have in mind for a language-learner - little quotes, proverbs, riddles, tongue-twisters etc in the target language, plus room for their own additions. Also, I want some of those acrylic pens now! There's enough in this vid to keep me going for months, years, even.

Oh my goodness!! I Absolutely love those journals and how you made the paper cloth. Great demonstrations. As a newbie journal maker I would think one of those bookmark/tags that match the journal cover would be an awesome addition if gifted so the receiver can place it in the book where he/she is writing/working in. I must try it as I have extra fabric and plain colored tissue. Also have loads of napkins. Also thank you for the idea of what you use for huge papers in your journal. This is hands down one of the most interesting journal tutorials I have ever watched. Just when I think creativity has been exhausted a fabulous idea like this is introduced. Well done! Beautiful. Then you kept going and added the gold paint to create the dragon skin effect, and I was amazed at the results. The one that started out orange has astounding color and texture. The journal you made with it complements the cover beautiful. I like the collaged piece also but it is a little busy for my taste. All the things you made with the fabric paper are amazing. You teach beautifully and your videos are so well done. Thank you for sharing this unusual technique.

I can’t pick just one thing to be my fav. I love the idea of decoupage on fabric & I can’t wait to try it. I love the “buttons” you made using a round stamp & a brad. How clever is that! But maybe my favorite is the tags with chains on them. Absolutely brilliant. Thanks for sharing your ideas!

Both of the journals are so very different. I really love them both, but definitely the brown one is my favorite. I’m always in awe of how talented you are. Your sewing is impeccable. I love the stitches you put on your inside papers. A very fun idea. Thanks for sharing.

Natasha, you may have really outdone yourself here!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE all these products you made, including the adorable tags, which you could probably sell as specialized gift tags (i.e. in place of a card). They are unique for that purpose, I do believe. At least I have never seen anything like that! I adore the leather-looking journal so much! I have covered a cardboard box with a similar look using leftover takeout napkins and glue/water mixture, but I think the tissue paper gives it more of a pronounced texture. I’m very inspired, and yes, I believe I will make some fabric paper since I have also been hoarding fabric I like from clothes I don’t/can’t wear anymore. Thanks for all your videos and ideas!!

These are mind-blowing!! At first I was partial to the paper made with the napkins, but after I saw the journal cover, I was smitten with it!! 😍

You can be very proud of yourself for creating all this beautiful fabric paper. It is so nice to watch a video of an instructor who cares about all the little details. I think the details make all the difference. Thank you for showing us the process, and the ways to use the fabric. I love the the brown faux leather journal. Now I have an authentic reason to buy the gold paste.

Natasha, these are beautiful pieces but my favourite is the orange tissue paper one, it looks like fallen autumn leaves, the different hues. Just beautiful. Thank you for the inspiration you bring with everything that you do. Blessings x

Your comment about how it looked like fallen leaves sparked an idea in my mind. Using gilding wax to achieve a lustrous effect would be quite stunning. Thank you.

Welp, I have struggled for WEEKS for a unique cover for two journals that I'm making and I now know what I'm going to do, thanks to you!!! I was so blocked on this that I put my signatures away and every day I look at them and put them away again. I am going to use those tags with the cloth background as the "gift tag" for the people I'm giving them to. I will very neatly write their name on the material and they can take it off if they want later. I LOVE this whole video. You truly are talented in so many ways. Thank you for inspiring me and getting me excited about finishing these journals!!! I like, subscribed and hit the bell for notifications. I'll be watching old vids and hopefully not missing any new ones.

I loved the leather looking one made with the orange tissue. I'm not really into the junk journal but these would be great on a regular style journal as well, either handmade or covering an inexpensive store bought journal. I think these would be good for anything you could make from small pieces of fabric (coin purses, key fob, etc.) Those little tags would be excellent gift tags and I think many types of marker or paint pen would write on the plain side easily.

Your projects are so inspiring and so beautiful. Every time I watch a video I want to stop what I am doing and try and make something as beautiful as you do. I have never seen a dragon but dragon skin was the perfect description. 😂 I can’t wait to try my own dragon skin! I am pretty sure my eyes changed to hearts when you pulled out the journal with the gold heart closure. ❤❤❤

Ahhh....Dear Natasha, what are you doing to me? Just when I've started thinking about a project and start gathering the materials and I prepare, you show us another project which is even more exciting than the previous one, and then I want to stop that and start with the new one. My mind is all over. You are such an inspired person. Thank you for all these amazing ideas. P.S. I like both types, perhaps a different choice in napkins.
