Aloha Cindy, I LOVE your tutorials! I purchased your pattern & made the little diaper covers for my new born granddaughter & they came out SO CUTE!!! My Daughter-in-Law loves them, thank you so much! I was wondering if I could make a special request of you? There is a woman in the office where I work that wants me to make food covers for her. She wants them to be made out of fabric but wants the interior to be netting. I have purchased Simplicity patter 1236 but I have not been able to figure out how to make the center with just the netting. Do you have any ideas? Thank you so much for your expertise!

+Slavetodaboyz Hello - Thank you for your kind words and I'm SO GLAD you enjoyed the pattern and that your DIL loves them - that made my day! On your question does she want the netting open in the center - meaning fabric around the edge and open netting in the center? If that is what you would like I would cut a circle in the center the size you would like the netting to be and zig-zag around the edge and sew the netting in place from the back?? I hope that helps - I'm just not sure exacting what she wants. Happy Sewing - Cindy

question; why is the fleece on the outside, from where the baby is?
@VintageToNew8 жыл бұрын
Good question! The fleece seems to be a little bit better at repelling water (it rains a lot here in Oregon). The baby should not be touched by the fabric unless they are getting older and pull on it. That was my reasoning! Happy Sewing - Cindy

Hi Monica - I would love for you to learn how to sew! Start out by watching my "Sewing School" videos kzbin.infoplaylists . Find an older machine (I would purchase one that has been gone through by a professional - you don't want to start out with machine problems) and start small! You will be sewing like a pro in no time. There are literally thousands of videos on KZbin to help you learn. It would even be better if there was someone you know that could give you a boost along the way. It would make me so happy for you to take the plunge and learn to sew. Cindy
