Very cute, though you will want to move the cot away from the curtains, as a mum of 1 year old twins who love to play with the blinds, I can't recommend it more, and maybe use valcro to stick the changing mat onto the chest of drawers to make sure it doesnt move.

It’s so beautiful! The only thing I’d do is move the cot away from the window and centre it on that wall with the gorgeous rainbows 🌈 for warmth and also safety away from the curtains. How exciting it brought back all the memories of lovingly creating my children’s nurseries 💗

This is such a cute vlog, my daughter is going to lose her mind when she sees it! She’s 6, and we discovered you guys when we were preparing for a trip to Hoi An last July. Hazel has now watched all of your vlogs many times over, and barely a day goes by when ‘Jess and Steve’ don’t feature in her conversation, even at school! ☺️ Just at dinner tonight (we’re in NZ) she told us we needed to visit the salt mine in Romania so we could go on the Ferris wheel 😆 We know what you like to eat, that we need to go to Turkey for burnt icecream, and that you’ve been to Gallipoli (recent ANZAC discussion). My daughter is also pregnant and due May 13. Because of Covid-19 we haven't been able to spend the kind of time together I thought we would in getting ready for the baby. In 1972 our daughter was born and we bought a very cute toy box for her. Her daughter was born in 2011. So her toy box came out of storage and was quickly refurbished. Her baby is now nine and her second child is four. She gladly took over the toy chest. Many times over the years my husband thought I was crazy. 160 nappies will probably last you a month. Even it's a dry nappy, it's best to change a fresh one after 4 hours.

160 nappies will last you a couple of weeks. Expect to use 350 or so the first month and assume 1 or maybe 2 wipes per diaper. So you bought half a months supply of nappies and over a months supply of wipes. I love the nursery. You did a wonderful and amazing transformation to your home.

One of the best bits of advice I was given regarding babies and sleep and I have to agree with the advice, don’t darken the room and don’t stop doing normal things when baby sleeps. From the day after my son was born we vacuumed under his bassinet, played music or the TV at normal levels and never darkened the room or made sure he only had a sleep in his bed (if we where out etc). It meant that my son would sleep anywhere no matter what when he was tired. But also, you have to do what works for your baby and your family!

Make sure to nail the drawers to the wall! IKEA has had some law suits from babies crawling on them and the drawers falling on top of them causing them to die. :(( please take the extra step!

That's really sad 😢 So far all ikea building instructions ended whith mounting chest of drawers, cupboards and the like to the wall....

It looks so gorgeous! Your video just reminded me of the time when we were getting the nursery ready and waiting for our girl to arrive. It was almost 10 years ago and the time really does fly by, so it's important to enjoy every minute of this journey! Also, what kind of a sad person put a dislike on this video? I don't understand people who do that!
