The zebra giraffe - Okapi thing is really awesome. I have never seen such a creature. It’s body is so beautiful, head not so cute, it reminds me of a Hyena with the big ears, slender face and the angle it often holds it’s head. lol. The newborn gorilla is so tiny. It’s amazing how tiny things are at first. It’s not often that we get to see such a rare sight of a newborn. Thank you so much. I would love more of these videos, especially the baby gorillas 🦍🥰🥰🥰🥰

Great apes aren't just like humans. Humans are just like Great Apes!
@Xalerdane2 жыл бұрын
If anyone is curious about how human the baby gorillas look, it’s because of something called ‘neoteny’. In apes, the facial structure elongates and the forehead recedes during puberty, giving them their classic simian appearance, and humans used to be no different. But sometime in our ancient past we gained a mutation that stopped us from going through puberty all the way, turning us into a species that, by ape standards, never stops looking like children. This is also why wisdom teeth are an issue. Our jaws stopped growing out to their adult size, but we still grow the teeth meant to fit in it.

Why on earth would they separate the cub so early! It has not learned what it needs to like the self confidence through play and more. I can explain it better this way: if you must separate a human from their family, you first let them mature until the natural instinct for 'self' appears were they don't mind adventures. It is this with all living creatures, but it is a must with wild animals else you get a mentally unstable and possibly dangerous animal. This cat is way too young to be taken from mother nd siblings. These modern wild-life experts are often wildlife's worst enemy!

If animals are being kept in captivity it’s an unfortunate necessity. The alternative would be for them to live in a space far too small for them and for them to inbreed as soon as they become old enough.

I do find it upsetting and cruel that these Gorillas are trapped in glass and this is EXACTLY why they are running and hitting the glass. Imagine how a bunch of people would feel if put into cages and watched just like this! Just think about the Madness of it all. These Gorillas are crammed in there and have hardly any privacy or space. Do these zookeepers think the Gorillas can't see the people? Is their glass tinted all black so they can't see everybody staring at them? I do think they are Loved obviously and being cared for in many ways-but they should have ways to forage for their own food and have a far bigger enclosure and be WAY MORE FREE!
