Watched Lacey & Eli’s vlog and got emosh but this one got me even harder. I became a grandma to a beautiful baby girl just over 6 months ago & Shelley I felt your emotions for you ….. I felt Lacey’s too and still remember that feeling of cradling my own newborn babies but there’s no love quite like holding your own precious baby’s baby and becoming a grandma. I know you have other grandchildren too but being there and that very first hold is so special. Congrats to you all. I’m thrilled and delighted for all of you, little miss Lopez is truly blessed to be surrounded by so much love & she is also one of God’s greatest blessings he bestows upon us. Full head of blonde hair too & the image of daddy Eli. Well done Lacey girl, you smashed it & look incredible for having just given birth. What a sweet little baby she is. I cried. It bought back memories of my 2 sons being born, who are now 17 & 13. The 1st look of shock, overwhelming love, bewilderment, and feeling vibrations in your chest as your heartbeat's fast, is 2nd too none. The way Eli and Lacy look at each other, you just know. When we first met him I wasnt sure about him. I saw how lacy looked at him. And then I saw how he looked at her, and I knew. One thing I've noticed is when he looks at her, he typically smiles. Even if they're just walking around and shes talking about something irrelevant. He looks at her with so much admiration and its adorable.

I was absolutely terrified but damned determined. He was born 3 weeks after my 19th birthday, at 41 weeks and 6 days. That was 20 years ago. I'm not even 40 and my baby boy is a man.
