actually he wrote this song about a situation our country is facing, like so many, where young ppl must leave their country to go work abroad to live better. so he's leaving his family and hoping for a better life. thank you for reacting to this! feels great seeing everyone love this as much as we do. greetings from Croatia ^^

I think that the most important point of why is this song is so great is that Marko Purišič wrote it totally himself - without any help of some fancy eurovision produser that knows the drill:) and this song is here by chance - Baby Lasagna was a RESERVE for DORA (national selection of Croatia)

❤ He is the most charismatic performer. He has the original text. Looking at the other songs, his is the most recognizable. His energy is contagious. The audience sang and danced with him from start to finish. With the song Rim tim tagi dim performs for the first time as a performer. It's his first performance! He has more passion than everyone in ESC combined! He is the only one in ESC who is the author of the text, music and arrangements and a performer. He has no 18 authors behind him, like some singers, nor money. He recorded the video with his girlfriend, grandmother, friends and relatives. A text that everyone can identify with. Humane, humble, worked with children with special needs, has a shelter for cats...in short, a wonderful young man!!! In the end, he wrote the lyrics for the album of the band Mono Inc., "Ravenblack", which reached the first place in the official German listenership chart, and Marko received an award for this achievement.

First half is done. Croatia never had a song so hyped up; everybody loves this down-to-Earth guy. However, there is a lot of politics in voting for the best Eurosong. I think, this time juries will not be able to ignore what people love; entire arena was dancing and singing. Croatia has over a million ex-pats all over Europe. I believe they are going to be the deciding factor to tip the scales in Marko’s favour. Baby Lasagna entered Dora qualifying competition as a reserve; because someone else dropped out. Real Cinderella story. The song is about young people leaving their home (and immigrating to other countries; 400,000 in 10 years) in search of a better life, and anxiety it creates. Yet, the song is lighthearted; the energy unbelievable. It was written, and produced solely by Marko Purišić (Baby Lasagna) in his room in Umag, small town, Croatia. He writes songs (over 200) & books too. First time performing as a singer on a big stage, Marko did great; people of Croatia reacted and gave him the greatest margin of victory ever. Now; the entire nation is behind him. (See; ’Hrvatska plese Rim Tim Tagi Dim’ -KZbin). With big stage and some improvements, it’s a definite leader. Eurovision song, here we come, Rim Tim Tagi Win!
