Corgis and other herding dogs often whine like this constantly, alot of people here are equating this dog whining to the baby, realistically my shetland sheep dog will whine like this if he has to sit still for more than 5 seconds when he wants to be playing with a ball....

I love this video, the kids I see everyday have a natural affinity for Corgi's. My corgi Tucker loves toddlers like this one. Corgi's can be sassy and snap at you, for sure, but it's more about play than aggression or fear. When it comes to toddlers my guy is very gentle and curious of the little ones. If he was uncomfortable, he would just walk away, no problem. All dogs are different though...

Yeah the dog is uncomfortable, but giving him short periods of time with the baby surely helps him get used to it? Isn't that what we all do when it comes to making them comfortable with nail clipping, vacuuming, using certain machines, bathing/showering, having strangers knocking at the door etc etc taking baby steps despite them being uncomfortable.

That dog was not liking it and the signals were there. The last being that he walked away. Please don't subject your animal to this especially with a small child who doesn't know the dog doesn't like it. I mean who would like somebody poking their eyes out!? Don't let it get to a point where the dog bites the child and than you blame the dog when he is showing you all the signals of being uncomfortable.

My 5 month old corgi would leave immediately, and if held, would nip. He may even nip right off the bat if bothered like that. That's why I don't trust him next to babies, at least not for now

Babies are too rough with dogs. They pull their hair because of something relating to their physical development. I wouldn't allow my baby to freely touch the dog until he's old enough.

@@Ahmed-ty1ko Having experience owning Corgis, I'm not 100% convinced that the whining is as significant as it might be with other dogs. He probably was a bit anxious. Corgis are what I consider very "talkative". Mine have always made lots of different noises (along with a whole lot of barking, lol) for a wide range of reasons. Sometimes mine whine and yelp because they want something (a treat or a squirrel in the backyard), sometimes they whine like that because they are uncomfortable. I don't know. I'm fine with what was happening here... a dog and a toddler both have to learn to live together in the same house somehow. The dad was very close by watching everything and the dog was free to get up and leave whenever he had enough. The dad even told the dog "good boy" when he did get up and leave. Which I think is good training. That's exactly what you want a dog to do when they have had enough of a little kid messing with them. (When we got a new puppy, we taught our older dog to leave and go to places that the puppy couldn't get to when it looked like she was getting annoyed with the puppy's constant attention.) The dad praising the dog for doing that is helping teach the dog that he did the right thing. The dog could have been a little anxious because he isn't used to interacting so closely with the child. As it says in the description, he usually stays away from the child. It seems like this was the dog's decision to stop and let the kid get close. Then the dog was free to leave when he had enough.

Das Kind ist grob und der Vater sollte dem armen Hund dieses Verhalten nicht zumuten. 🤨 So kleine Kinder sind meist noch nicht in der Lage abzuschätzen, wie es dem Wuffi dabei geht. Ich würde da sofort dazwischen gehen und dem Hund seinen Freiraum schaffen. I imagine this Matt hitting the dog to make the video, I don't like it, my aversion goes. Guys, stop giving credibility to videos with animals, a lot of cowardly people torture animals to put them in videos, all to get famous with the poor animal. If the dog bites the child because the child squeezed his balls, Matt would definitely kick the dog in the nose, likely he went through this situation. It reminded me of the circus that forced elephants to pose, if the elephant didn't it was shock and beating. Only God and the devil know what certain KZbinrs do with innocent animals. Go my dislike
