When this woman had to give up the first Tina I was so upset for her. I understood so well why she bought this baby monkey. I thought the lady was a gentle, caring, loving soul who would give the second Tina a wonderful home. Boy was I wrong. Now I feel so sorry for baby Tina. She is malnourished, made to live a life of complete solitude, is not allowed contact with another creature, can’t walk or crawl because Thuy is constantly picking up Tina, has bruises and cuts on her little face, constantly sucks her thumb because of depression, stress, and anxiety. I could go on and on. I believe the lady loves Tina in a way. She just has no idea how to raise a baby anything!

If these visible wounds on the baby monkey's nose, eyebrows and especially on the edges of the ears are the result of weaning her from thumb sucking, then it is not worth it, because of Tina's trauma. It will never be forgotten for this monkey. Many such baby monkeys suck their thumbs and that helps them calm down and nothing bad happens. / / Nếu những vết thương có thể nhìn thấy trên mũi, lông mày và đặc biệt là ở rìa tai của khỉ con là kết quả của việc cai sữa cho bé mút ngón tay cái thì điều đó không đáng có, vì Tina đang bị chấn thương. You are right to question and speak out against unjustified criticism but kindly note please that 99% of the monkey owners if not more, show these videos to increase their revenue. And that justifies taking a close look because these animals are at risk of being exploited. You are also right when you say that most people don't know how to raise an infant macaque. Some of the suggestions I read on various channels are just downright hilarious. Most people do not understand the behaviour of macaques nor their nutritional needs. Here a baby is fed with cereal enriched milk, which is wrong. I am not saying that the monkey is mistreated or that its caretaker is abusing the baby but when a viewer sees something wrong, they should speak. This is not about freedom of speech or posting hateful comments but about protection of animals, even if it will not change anything for the animal concerned. It's about the principle of respecting an animal's right to live a healthy life. FYI - I'm a DVM with experience in non-human primates, ie rhesus monkeys.

I don’t know what video you have been watching.but look at the ones with Tina all banged up with bruises all over her face and a terribly red little nose. Tina is so malnourished. She is skinny and many times unresponsive to Thuy’s calling her. This is not a normal bath for a normal baby monkey. Tina has absolutely no socialization. Never is taken out of the house or yard. Can’t move because the woman is always kissing her. Isn’t crawling or walking properly. Lives in total isolation except for this one lady. Very much like prisoners being punished with solitary confinement. There is no question the lady loves Tina. But she treats the baby like a toy, like a doll. Not like a live creature.
