Baby Monkeys Saved From Illegal Pet Trade | Wildlife Nannies

These poor orphaned monkeys were stolen from their parents in order to be sold by the side of the road to and travellers looking for an exotic pet. luckily these wildlife nannies have stepped in to make sure they live full and happy lives and can go back to the wild where they belong.
They dedicate their lives to helping orphaned animals. They open their hearts and homes to all the challenges of raising a young life - no matter how large or small. They are the Wildlife Nannies!

I think the people who rescued the Vervet monkeys (and other foundlings) and the people at the wildlife sanctuary taking care of foxes (and other foundlings) are true heroes for animals. Kudos to them! But I'm really shocked and disturbed that "Pets and Vets," which claims to be about compassion toward animals, is featuring keeping dolphins in captivity in a glorified swimming pool and teaching the dolphins to perform tricks for human entertainment. The people who train and work with the dolphins aren't "wildlife nannies." They're wildlife abusers. The dolphins should be returned to their natural habitat and this show shouldn't glorify this type of animal abuse.

Loved the story of the monkeys, but please don't show videos of captive dolphins. It would be great if you could find a place which actually rehabilates dolphins and releases them, but it seems so cruel that these beautiful animals are forced to perform for the public 😥

Very disappointed and distressed regarding the captive dolphins storyline… especially the little 2 year old now being trained for entertainment. Shame on you for highlighting and supporting this practice. Dolphins should be roaming the oceans, not confined to small tanks and pools! This is cruelty!!!

I think it's great you help them but why the diapers? It's horrible for them according to the vervet monkey foundation the diapers leave their bottoms raw and irritate tails. They just let them be natural and clean up after them. You should definitely take time to watch their videos I'm a long time member. They should never sleep with humans or bond with them it's a second loss when it's time to join troop. The foundation have it down to a science and find foster moms for them all.

Animal trainers preparing a young dolphin for a lifetime performing for paying customers does not qualify as “Wildlife Nannies”. There is no intention to release the dolphin into its natural environment. They are intelligent and gregarious creatures, and spend many years with their Mothers. Inserting a human between baby and Mother, (who will teach behaviours desired by the people) is not appropriate. Separating him from his pod so he doesn’t get distracted and play all the time is completely opposite of how he would be treated in the wild. I expected better of you. That young dolphin has never experienced the ocean, he has never caught a live fish for himself…he is fed dead, thawed fish as a reward. He was bred and born in captivity because they are no longer permitted to take dolphins from the wild. He will live out his entire life in an artificial environment…where he will also die, without ever seeing his natural home. I do not doubt that his trainer is very attached to him, but it is wrong to anthropomorphize him. He has feelings and desires of his own, that he is not allowed to fully express.🖤🇨🇦
