Maternity leave isnt a thing in the U.S unless miracly the co. Offers it and that's a rarity. Only 1 city in the entire U.S. requires co. To give maternity leave thats why most return after like 2-3 weeks of giving birth. Some do it 3 days after

I believe medically in the US they have to let you have 8 weeks off at least. I remember the company I worked for wouldn’t pay me for maternity leave but they would not let me come back until my doctor cleared me medically and she would not budge on making me wait 8 weeks.

I was crying when I peed for 3 weeks, anyone expecting this of you at 5 days is nutso. I'm so so happy for you. Been sobbing nonstop watching your birth vlog. I wish I had done something similar, it definitely gave me flashbacks, and made me so so grateful my son was born healthy and okay because I had such a similar story to yours except I was home birthing in the jungle in Costa Rica and a hospital wasn't an option by the time I realized I just wasn't progressing. Eventually he had to be pulled out of me, and I'm just so so lucky he was okay. THANK YOU for always being so raw and honest. I'm trying really hard not to compare my post partum journey to yours because I was so so exhausted and just not nearly as lively. You guys are beautiful.
