Lilli or Lillibet.( Elizabeth)……Meaning:God's promise. Lilibet is a feminine Hebrew name meaning "God is my oath” and is derived from the Hebrew root Elisheva of the same meaning. Lilibet was most commonly used as a nickname but has become a popular first name in recent times.

My husband and I went through this lack of support when we had our children. We both came from marriages that were broken by our spouses’ decisions and waited a long time to find each other. We each brought two preteen-teenage children with us into the marriage . We were thrilled to be expecting after I had been diagnosed with infertility after my two children. Everyone at our church seemed thrilled for us, but when our son was born nobody offered to do a meal train for us despite having an active ladies ministry that did that for every other mom who gave birth, whether it was their first time or not. This happened again with our other two children. Our third child was a large baby and ended up with a serious issue at a week old requiring an 11 day nicu stay and a dangerous procedure to save her life. We were told she might have lasting effects and be deaf and in a wheelchair. Still no support from our church! My sister in law organized a meal train for us and our church members were invited to help but still none of them did. But my former church stepped up and went above and beyond, even though I hadn’t attended there in 6 years since I started attending my husband’s church. We left our church and went back to mine where we felt like they actually cared about us.

I love the name Charlotte! 💕 You are SO right about the lack of support for non-first time moms. By my third pregnancy, it felt like there was no excitement from anyone except our little immediate family. We adopted our fourth child and there was nothing. No celebration except for what we did for him ourselves during his second birthday party (he was adopted a few days before his 2nd birthday). So I’ll add, don’t forget about adoptive moms. Even if the child isn’t a newborn, bringing a child into a family is reason to celebrate and it is a major transition that needs some support (meals, toys, diapers…). ❤️

Wow I really needed to hear another mom mention the topic of moms not experiencing the same love as first time moms. Were expecting our third boy next month and I was really hopeful for excitement from our friends and family but it's crickets over here. I made a registry for minimal things that we really need and no one asked to get us anything or offered to help us in any way. All my "friends" haven't checked in once and family hasn't really checked in on how I'm doing either. It really does suck but it is what it is. Our circle is already very small so Im not too hopeful on anyone showing up for us but just grateful God blessed my husband and I with support with one another and our boys.

Yes! Experienced mothers still could use a hand. I remember coming home with 2 toddlers to take care of. My husband couldn't stay out of work. I guess everyone thinks" you've got this, you've done it before". But you never have the same experience twice. Each time is another child to take care of. So the load definitely grows bigger and you need to heal and rest. It is a challenge. Prayers for a healthy delivery and baby girl!!

When my husband and I struggled with fertility issues, a pastor told me, "it's okay to tell God your hearts desire- and ask if it be in His will." I did exactly that, and soon had a baby girl. We named her Michaela, meaning "she who is like the Lord", and she IS! 28 yrs old now, and so much like Christ, in her lovely character. We then gave her the middle name of Beth, meaning "God's promise". All 3 of my children now have names of biblical meaning and that means a lot to each of them. In fact, we had a different name planned for our youngest son, but one day during the end of my pregnancy, God put another name heavily on my heart, both first and middle names. My husband came home from work that day and was nervous to tell me, he felt compelled to change our name choice. God had put on his heart the very same names!! These names had not been in our thought process. They came out of the blue - on the same day. So we know that God has great plans for this young man that HE named, instead of what we had planned. 🥰

Hmmm, I wonder why all the infertile women in the world just didn’t think of asking God. Most that I know did, daily. Maybe he just doesn’t like them. Thankfully many are otherwise blessed by science and have had their prayers granted that way. Now maybe all the sick folks will just start asking God to be healthy. The hungry should ask God for food. Homeless for homes. Well actually lucky them, they can now get 3 hots and a cot with a murderer for a roomie but maybe that’s Gods will. I just can’t…. But congratulations on having your prayers answered.

Less than a month before he was born, another family (in our two neighboring, very small towns that share schools) named their son Tucker. We stuck with it. Oh my word I feel so validated by your talk about first time moms vs. second or third-time etc. moms. I thought I was alone in feeling disappointed by the lack of support from family and friends. I had the same experience as you did! The first time I gave birth I had more help than I needed. I've had 6 more births since then, and have been very overwhelmed by the responsibilities I had bringing home a new baby and trying to recover while also having to care for my older children!

I agree with you about your comments on 2nd and 3rd time moms. I’m pregnant with our third, had the most support with the 1st, not hardly any with our second(which I struggled really bad with postpartum depression and transitioning from 1 to 2 kids). My 3rd is a blessing because I didn’t think I could get pregnant but it’s been the worst pregnancy and I’m on bed rest a lot trying to raise 2 young kids and be there for them as well. It’s so real what you said about even just making a meal for them and how much that helps. Not trying to complain or anything but it is something that’s very real for a lot of moms.

Here in our church group we have a sign up sheet (or get assigned) to take meals to the new moms, it doesn't matter if it's their first baby or number 8 😅, cause we all know, the more babies the more is in involved and everyone needs to eat! Then we have the preference to drop it off at the house (with a gift😊) or stay and eat with the family. Just thought I'd share this for whatever it's worth!

I’m not surprised a friend of yours ended up using Violet as it is one of the most commonly used girl names right now! It is in the top 15 most common names. We are using it for our next girl and have had it picked out to use for sure for 8 years now, just have lots of sweet momma’s boys in a row. ❤ It didn’t use to be so popular, but especially the last 3 or 4 years it has been and it especially boomed in the past 2 years. I was told some TikTok influencer used it then it surged but I’m not on there so no idea. We homeschool and always have so I’m not worried about her having multiple in a class or if being common and we prefer common names with our uncommon surname, but I totally get how it’s trendiness is a turn-off for some. At this point we are just so married to the name and had confirming feelings that is what our next daughter’s name is supposed to be that we will use it regardless. 😅 Team green for baby #6, so we will see soon if we will be using it with this baby or a future one. ❤ From your list, I really love Eden and Hazel! They would fit great with sisters too! Neither are near as common as Violet either, so less likely to have friends use it before you have her. 😊 My great grandma was Hazel and I would have loved to use it, but it doesn’t work with our surname unfortunately. Sooooo pretty though! I love it so much that I’m thinking Hayes for a boy middle name if we had 6 boys (we have a current boy name for this one potentially being a 5th boy so this name would not be for a next boy, but another, which we may not have that many but I like to be prepared haha! Hazel is a family name for me and my husband and my great grandma on my other side had the surname Hays. 🥰 Eden nn Edie is sooooooo adorable though so I don’t know between the two….both are fantastic!!!❤

I love your names. I love that you know each of their meanings by heart. Honestly, all of them are lovely. Lily Eliabeth or Nora Eliabeth would be so pretty. If we had had another baby girl, we would have named her Flora Elise. I'll always hold a special place for that name in my heart. I competely agree with what you said about the lack of support for moms after they've had more than one baby. When we had our last two babies, no one did anything in terms of bringing in meals or anything like that. It was so hard. I had a c-section with every one of our five children. I was literally cut wide open, stitched up, and then immediately handed a baby to take care of each time. My husband is a teacher, so taking time off is really hard for him. He usually just got about three days off with each birth. My mom is wonderful and helped as much as she could, but I remember feeling so overwhelmed and unloved. It's such a blessing to have children and I really am so grateful to get to be a mother. I just wish our society value motherhood. I wish our church family would have stepped up. It was a hard, hard time that still stirs so many emotions in me. I hope everyone around you rallies to offer some love and support this time.

I love Nora, I think it goes well with the other girl names. I was the last child in my family and my mom went with “Christina” instead of an “M” name like the other two she debated because my name would be different, but it has always made me feel unique and special. So, my point is don’t feel bad if you break the botanical theme. Whatever name you choose will be perfect 🥰

Many years ago now, when I was a younger mum, I suggested to my mothers group that we could better support each other as we had more children. We organised a roster among ourselves to drop of a few meals to support each other as our families grew. It was such a wonderful thing to do. No one hesitated to step up, as we could all appreciate how helpful that would be. It came with no obligatory pressure. Some mums home baked, some shopped a hamper, some picked up and delivered some take-away. And all were done with love and care and understanding that this kind of support was beyond practical, it was us girls acknowledging that we knew how to help and would not hesitate. It just took an idea, and we ran with it. Perhaps you could do something similar through you church, friends playgroup mums. It had a wonderful ripple effect, and I loved cooking something special and bundling up some goodies to drop off. We mums just know!!

We rostered every few days for someone to drop off, we just took turns, so the first few weeks were covered, and the pressure was off.

I really like Lily Elizabeth. Other names to go with your leaning towards nature are Willow, Maisie, Fleur (French for flower), Flora, or Iris. We adopted our children so I never had the opportunity to choose a baby name. I’ve always leaned towards old-fashioned names like Isobel and Helen. And having been an English major, I’m also drawn to literature for names, like Bronte.

My great grandmother was named Hazel. She showed so much love in her life. Such a sweet, tender hearted soul. I was maybe nursery school age the last memories I have of her. I like all the names you are considering. You will pick the perfect name for your little one. I am so looking forward to meeting her. Love all the baby clothes. Wonderful idea for gifts. So thoughtful they were requested.

I like Violet the best of all of the names which you are considering. My favorite name is Eloise but it’s not a name which fits with your theme unless you wanted to consider it as a middle name. Take extra good care of yourself and your little baby girl. Thanks for bringing us into your naming discussion. That was such fun!

I think I would love to stick with the theme of nature because it is such a sweet connection for all 4 girls. My favorites are Hazel and Lily. All other names are also very beautiful. But you asked our advice so I picked my two favorites 😃.

I love the theme for your big sister names. Just lovely! I also love the other names you've chosen. Of course you and your husband will pick just the right one for your family. Combining some of these choices also makes for combined meanings. I am partial to Annabeth, which joins to mean "full of grace" and "my God is an oath". Then you could choose yet another middle name. Annabeth is sweet and a wee bit of an "old world" name. Best to you all as you welcome your new little darling girl!

I sincerely love all your daughters names you have now along w/ the names you've been thinking about. Sometimes you just need to hold off until you see her in person then one of those names will fit her nicely ♡ I also love the fact you brought up mama's having their second, third, fourth babies. Bravo Kristen! Support is so necessary. I wish you a short labor and a healthy delivery! I'm excited to meet the newest precious member of your family 💞👶

In our community it’s a tradition that the expecting couple or some of their friends have diaper parties. It can be for couples or just the men. There’s food and the guys play cards or corn hole etc.

I do think the fourth was easier mum of four here the struggle for me was the first and two to three once you get beyond people stop offering help to look after them. The car needs to be roomy but I really liked having four and mine were close together so the older ones helped with the younger ones.

Can't wait to see your sweet new baby. All your girls are beautiful and are such sweethearts. All your baby names are really pretty. I love all the choices -- I like Lilly simply because all the other girls are named after flowers and I don't want her to feel left out. However, this comment is coming from the 4th child of 5 sisters and growing up I strived to be included in all my sister's everything. I wanted to be just like them, dress like them, act like them -- they all are still big influences in my life. Now that being said -- maybe she will want to be her own individual self. So know judgement here at all -- I know I will love your choice and so will she. God Bless You and you sweet family!
