I was 14 when this aired in 1992, and I was a religious watcher of SNL back then "Wayne's World" was the cinema after affect of SNL that same year! And though I have not seen this clip since 1992 and my memory was (incorrect) that Asswipe was his LAST name, which would have been funnier because no matter what you name the kid, he is gonna get teased...it's still just as funny 31 years later...and I distinctly remember John let's go to the John...LOL

This has one of the best endings in the history of SNL sketches. They coulda ended it with choosing the weird Icelandic name and it woulda still been a great skit, but that “Awz-wee-pay” epilogue really slam dunks it.

I'm pretty sure 95% of the weirdo celebrity names you hear about aren't the kids' actual names. It's just what they tell the public so the kid can maintain a relatively private life and avoid weirdo fans while they're children. Like MJ's kid wasn't actually named 'blanket'

@@crochunter35 Haha, luckily it never got to that stage. Once I was done studying, and there was a serious prospect of us living together, he got "coldwaterfear" as we call it. And decided to end the relationship and said he needed to think about us. It had been 4 years of friendship and 4,5 of relationship. (so 8,5) But he did a little more than just thinking. I lived 2 hours away, so I didn't know. But his friends alerted me to the fact that well..youknow. And after a month of silence I told him via Facebook; This is not working, if you need more than a month to consider our relationship, you are not in love with me." And he got angry and then upset. He asked me not to make it public yet and we made plans for me to pick my stuff up. Next day, it turned out he had made it public and told everyone that I was a coldhearted, distant bitch that had been a ball-on-a-chain on his leg. So I picked up my stuff (he send me a few things, later on, in a box full of mud) and while I was there, he proposed to stay in touch as best friends with benefits. When I said I wasn't going to be best friends and that I was heartbroken, he replied that 'just sex' was also a good idea, as long as he was single and I was the one that, as done before, was traveling to him. I politely declined and when he called me again and asked to hang out, I refused. He proposed I'd come over again, with a USB, to pick up my pictures. The ones I had always asked him about and he had always refused to send me. I politely declined again. And it's been yéárs, but apart from a bit of bitterness and anonymous complaining on KZbin, I have made peace with most of it xD Bottomline: The story is a fraction of what happened, but I think it clearly shows why I am happy that I don't have to bring a "Luke Ayrton Senna Peter Steven Justin Case" to his dad every other week.

@@alanfoy9974 He’s capable of comedy. But I recently saw him in Bringing out the Dead and he’s a brilliant actor!

@@KurtI2525 He’s one of my favorite Actors. Really good in Bringing out the Dead and Season of the Witch. As well as many others. The dead film was morbid subject matter but he really stood out!! I was impressed and he’s so likable and believable as a Heroic type. I think he’s really like that in real life. He cares about people. I like Nic Cage a lot! And he made me laugh during Face Off, too! Playing a wild criminal. Brilliant actor!

I remember in the late 1990s he starred in The Rock, Conair, Face off...all in the same year (felt that way)...then he had those National Treasure movies that were underrated I feel.

Some sketches have a great premise and great delivery but a terrible wtf ending. The punchline in this is SO worth it. Well done, writers.
