I am an adopted woman age 72. I am thankful everyday for the life my adoptive parents gave me, and all the opportunities I probably would never have had. They gave her all the baby stuff they had got when they were scammed. The received a call telling them they had a new baby for them to sign and sent paperwork back. Then they were on a plane to go get her within hrs. So happy for them.❤

As a spaniard I'm going to say it , Lola is short for Dolores which means pain! It's a very common name for women of a certain generation in our country so is Augusta which is Anguish. I know some small children called Lola, I agree the nickname on its own it cute but parents should know where it comes from and also there is more political history as to why names like pain and Anguish rose in popularity and it was during the Spanish dictatorship. We had the opposite problem when picking out names! We had 4 solid boys names and one girl name. We had a girl and haven’t been able to have another child. However, we did say we loved Willow after we had our daughter as a possible second girl name! So when we couldn’t have another baby and decided we were done trying, we got a cat and named her Willow!

The baby boy names of 2022…literally was nodding with each one cause all of my friends have used the first 4 names. Then, out of left field “Mateo”…I never would’ve guessed that in the top 5. I’ve never, in my 33 years of existence met a Mateo.😄 All the girl names are so classic and have been popular for a long long time. I remember those being popular 13 years ago when I was looking through lists to pick my first child’s name.😊

I plan on naming my daughters Emerson and Amelia. When I was little I knew with conviction that I wanted to name my future daughter Emma… then my dad and stepmother named my sister Emma and that plan was no longer an option. I’m actually really happy that plan changed because I fell in love with these two in like 2015. Their middle names are family names: Emerson René (René is mine and my mother’s middle name) and Amelia Cedulie (Cedulie was my great-grandmother’s first name). There are ample nicknames to choose from for these two names. I love Aimee from Amelia and Emmy, Em, and Emery from Emerson! I really love the idea of incorporating family names! It’s funny. I have family in Panama and family in the US. In the US we don’t have members with the same name, but in Panama we have to differentiate by middle names or hyphenated names because names are repeated so often and it isn’t such a big deal for a name to run in the family and be repeated. There is no “call” on a name being used by another member.

This is crazy. I adopted a puppy 2 months ago that was sick. She passed away a week after getting her. I was stuck between Willow and Lola. We named her Willow. The next day the vet called and ask me to foster another sick puppy that we ended up adopting. His name is 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁.... Sunny. I had to comment. I love that they're going through these without bashing the other names or making fun of them because I feel like so many people just make fun of the other names. Like if you want to try to avoid them from being bullied then that's okay but kids will make fun of literally anything if that's their goal.
