Baby Night Time Routine

My first son Never slept. It gets better. I was given 2 pieces of advice ( lol 2 million) that were golden. 1 dress your baby the same as you. We brought our son home in a big ole puffy snow suit it was December. And about 67 degrees. Baby was hot. 2 don't tip toe around the house when they are sleeping. Make noise. If your quite now it's always gonna be like that. Our Pediatrician gave us this gem " The more trouble they are when they are Babies the easier they are when they are Teenagers ". Both boys were just awful and I mean awful babies. But easy delightful teenagers. And even better adults. The best is yet to come. Be blessed , be well , tomorrow is better day.

Agree on the noise thing: in spite of knowing intellectually to not tiptoe, make normal noise, I didn’t do well w/that - not w/my first but with my 2nd son lol. There’s an eight yr age diff., and I was older & needed to nap when he napped😂 Best advice ( besides follow your instincts!) This too shall pass…. Which is a double edged sword - on tough days: it’s temporary… and on good days:it goes by too fast 🤣 Enjoy every moment 🌴

How noisey can your footsteps be comeon. Ite music is louder then your footsteps.our baby slept after a nice oil massage and warm bath all night I just got up once at night to feed and change her.she dident cry at night followed the same ruteen with my grandson.no problems that oil massage is like a workout for them .and it so nice a warm bath .

Just a reminder...no more swaddling after 3 months....infants cannot be restrained, as some infants roll over very earlier!! Love this video!! You guys are such caring , loving parents. Keep them videos coming!!!❤️

I’ve raised four children and have one sleep theory. Sleep when they do, and who cares where they sleep as long as they sleep. We co-slept because we are animals and watch baby animals sleep. Gave us full nights and great naps!

First congratulations again . Every baby is different but one thing i would say goes for most babies dont be quiet and tiptoe when they are sleeping our about to sleep it will make it so much easier not only for you as parents but for Parker too he will be able to fall asleep no matter what.

Love the crib placement! So many people don’t realize you can just put it right in the centre. It’s the safest place because you shouldn’t have a crib 3 feet from a window or 1 foot from furniture. Congrats you guys.

I am blessed to be my youngest grandson's caregiver and my son and his wife are blessed to have a little fella who naps 🥰. I started keeping him when he was 2 months old; he is 9 months old and I have been blessed to try and keep him on a daily routine which have been a blessing for his mom and dad. Beautiful and precious baby for two wonderful people. Curious regarding the EMFs emitted in baby's room from smart products. Does Parker wake when you put him in his crib? I use to warm the crib by putting a heating pad in before I put the baby in. Then remove it just before the baby went into the crib. Let me get some sleep.

When I have my children I never kept it quiet because if noise is made it wakes then, I ran my vacuum and cleaned my house let the phone ring and my other kids play, he slept through all the noise. And took good naps and slept go at night

My daughter and husband, had their son before all the apps and smart products....easy way to feed or change a baby at night.....is install a dimmer switch in you room light. Easy.....life saver.

Parker poo poo. He is adorable. My first 2 are 14 months apart and would wake up and whine every 2 hours. Of course they were on opposite hours so if I tried to let them soothe themselves, they would wake the other up. My husband closed his eyes and I think his ears. He never heard them at night. I was up every hour through the night until they were 4 and 5. I am a light sleeper anyway, so I had dark circles on top of my dark circles. I was a nurse in the OR, so I was on call a lot too. Oh well, it is over and they are 28 and 29 now.

Another suggestion - don’t whisper! Normal level noise all the time and he’ll sleep no matter how loud the surroundings.

My son, who was about 4 months old, struggled to sleep as a baby. My doctor told me to go ahead and feed him oatmeal. It will cost his belly and he will sleep better. It worked. Formula wasn’t keeping his tummy full.

My baby wasn’t good sleeper either. Tried baby training but it was stressful! It was better for my stress level to just go with the flow and just let the baby be.

We fed our babies young 50 years ago. Pablum in their bottle at first month. We gave pablum at night to help slept. Just heard you say 16 lbs. He needs to eat. Fill him at bedtime.

My oldest daughter was a terrible sleeper. And as a child she also sleep walked. The noise machine did not work for us, 17 years ago but the hair dryer and vacuum did and that worked well. My oldest daughter could only sleep moving or in a swing. That is how I survived the fist 6 months of her life. It is not recommended to let a baby sleep in a swing but think about all those human babies who did not have modern day cribs, and slept where ? With their parents, and probably in some sort of hammock. It does get better, but it is exhausting meanwhile. One day at time.

My neighbor had a baby monitor they rarely used anymore but their kids used to use it to listen to me with my kids - because it picked up my monitor!! 😂

I made sure that my children could sleep through anything by having music on at the lowest level, and since the were big boys, in their last bottle at midnight I added some cereal to fill their tummy. Introduced fruit in their diet early. Teething was most difficult and a not fully formed stomach would cause some difficulty but otherwise all was good. There are no perfect solutions, you just have to be able to adapt with the changes.

Aaawww an life comes full circle when u have a baby an a family....
