Thank you very much. That are exactly the instructions that a non commercial photographer like me needs. Our subjects are not professionell either. I'm still struggling with the lighting. These huge softboxes are simply impossible. I'm thinking about a system with variouso flashes and wall reflection.

I use the same camera settings in my studio for just about everything. Watch a couple of my classic lighting videos; Lighting 101, Mastering the 4x6 soffbox or Studio portrait lighting to fully understand why. 1/125 @ f/9-10 @ ISO 100 Thanks for watching.

What do you use to remove parent's arms and hands? Does the Lasso tool work OK with backdrops? Or do you use another tool? Good pointers here.

Thanks for watching! There are many ways to accomplish this. On bkgnds I usually use a patch tool. Stamp (cloner) is most veratile. Occasionally I can paste in the area from an adjacent frame where no one is in the way.
