The song was done by Mississippi Fred McDowell. Lightnin , borrowed it, is did all the Blues Guys. Good job fella.
@MoneyManBLUES10 ай бұрын
The fact is that this song was older then those blues guys. It was sang in the cotton fields and at work. There is a recording of "Another Man Done Gone" that shows it. The original creator of the blues song with this idea was Big Joe Williams. Another guys like McDowell and Lightnin did their version after.

@@MoneyManBLUES have you ever been to Memphis, TN ? All of the Blues Gold is their. I grew up in Vermont, their a record store had a good collection of Blues tapes, Albert Collins, Johnny Copeland, etc;etc; but one time I took a road trip, destination “ Memphis, TN, their Beele Street.( I may have spelled that street name wrong) . But that is where I found more blues tapes. Little Walter, Kim Wilson, Lightnin Hopkins. They have the music, and the cool names .

Hi Money Man. Please look into a festival in Martinique believe every year featuring guitar. R.L., and I played it in 1990. A great Brazilian band was there, Joe Pass. They would love you. Tell them you play alot of R.L.. But, original stuff similar in that vein. And , your singing adds to your guitar playing!!!!

@MoneyManBLUES10 ай бұрын
Hello my friend, this is in standard tuning. Its E position but the capo on the third fret so it turns the song to be in the key of G. So its the key of G, E position (how to play) and standard tuning.

Baby Please Don’t Go was NOT written by Mose Allison.

I have an idea that this was a work song, a melody, that ended up being transformed into this Blues version by Big Joe Williams. But I have no precision or certainty about this information, it is just a memory of something I read.

@@MoneyManBLUES ~ Big Joe was the first to record it and make it famous, others followed his lead. I’m not sure who gets credit for the lyrics but I know for certain it was Mose Allison!

Esa es la idea en general de muchos musicos guitarristas del llamado Country Blues (blues acústico rural): tener una base con los graves y melodias con las agudas. Un abrazo y gracias por el comentario!
