Love the nest box set up. Not new to rabbits but expanding and looking at ideas. New subscriber here. Saw ark-la-Tex on the papers. We’re neighbors!! From Murfreesboro.

Duke, it's always fascinating to learn how you raise your rabbits. Your clamp-on, heater-reflector lights are what I use in the kitchen when making cooking videos. The baby rabbits look healthy even to my novice eyes! Thanks for the good show my friend! All the best to you, Mrs. Gitter, and The Gang!

You are a smart man Sir! Impressive use of available resources. You should write all these ideas into a book.

That's a nifty way to keep 'em warm. I've never raised them, but I'm starting to see them sold commercially in grocery stores up my way. Unfortunately, they're farm raised from China.
@RuffCut6 жыл бұрын
yeah that doesn't sound very good....I bet they are expensive too...I have been wondering what is your profile picture?

@@RuffCut It's the framing of an observation tower atop a mountain I frequently hike. I crested the summit one evening and captured the Kodak moment, as they say.

I've never raised rabbits for meat, though it has been on my list of things I'd like to try. I trap cottontails and eat them. My guess is that the domestic rabbits are a lot better tasting than these wild ones are.
@RuffCut6 жыл бұрын
I quit hunting rabbits when I started raising them so its been a long time....what I can remember, they may of had a slightly better taste but I know the farm raised are more tender. It's interesting, trapping a rabbit, never did that

Why are they not getting any hay? 80% of what rabbits eats are suppose to be hay! That's important for their stomack and digestive system. And also for the teeth.
@RuffCut2 жыл бұрын
you just assume they don't get hay
