What should I do if I want to make my tortoise a tub enclosure but he would be able to escape over the top of the tub as he is great at climbing, has scaled up a tall wall and is soon trying for the worlds fastest tortoise as he is a pretty speedy horsefield

Aw bless him! They could use objects (e.g. hide, plants etc) to climb up and then out of the tub so make sure any objects are well away from the edges. Also, some may use the corners of the tub to climb up & out... to stop this you can cover the corners (at the top of the tub) or create a lip/edge around the top of the entire tub (inwards), so if they manage to climb up there's no way they can escape! I hope that makes sense - it's difficult to explain without drawing it?! 😉💚🐢

happytortoises i live in isreal and me greek tortoise knows her name... its so fun to hear that your ones do recognis you... If you want them to learn ther name just say it when you bring the food
