But looking for the best bedding for them. ps Height wise I would say about the length of a soda can I couldn't find a measuring tape? I used to use something that looked like food pellet, but it got messy too quick and now I'm trying wood shaving But they keep on trying to eat them and I don't want them to choke on them. If you could help me. Please and thank you as soon as you can.

Hey Tom!! I saw you had one sulcata who stop eating and you were gonna keep it. I have three babies about to be a year old. When I got them they were about a ping pong size. They all used to eat together. One stop eating and never grew. I don’t know how he survived all these months but I caught him still drinking couple days ago when he’s by the water. He walks around but really really weak. The other two eat drinks and are about chicken egg size now. They look healthy. What do you suggest I do for the little guy?? I don’t know how to get him to eat again.

Hey I have a question about the size i need to house a Sulcata, I have a large enough yard with plenty of grass greens and good temperature except during the winter it gets really cold and i planned on putting it in a spare room that is about 12 by 15 feet and I was wondering if that was enough space for a adult, just one. If you could answer this i would be very thankful.

Hi, just watched this video and would love to do a set up with maybe only one box for now. So it appears that you mist it enough to get the under substrate to stay moist all the time, but the top surface doesn't have to be moist all the time, is that correct? Do you put any liner under the substrate, and do you seal the bottom so the moisture doesn't leak out? Also, is there any problem with the baby turtles eating the moss? My Eastern Box turtles start eating it when they are wandering around the enclosure. And how often do you change the substrate? Is it quite a job with that big an enclosure? It takes half a day to just do my 40 gallon terrarium. I was given these turtles by an older lady who wasn't able to take care of them very well. Kept indoors with no heat lamps or thermal gradients and no misting. They were stunted when I got them at 5 months old and the two vets I went to said they should be 10 times the size they were at 5 months. Two were 8 grams, one was 9 grams. I have had them since March 2019, and they have quadrupled their weight and are doing great now with proper heat and humidity, but are still small for their age, I just want them to have the best, happiest life I can give them. Any comments or advise would be greatly appreciated. You have a great channel, I love all your videos, but especially the ones about turtles and tortoises (I'm not biased or anything =). Eventually when I build my big outside enclosure, I would love to get a Chinese box turtle, they are so beautiful too. Thank for your help. Keep up the fantastic work!!

I had to put extra screws in my zoo-med tortoise house because it was so flimsy and was almost falling apart after about two months, I left it outside for an entire year and it just rotted to the point it was falling apart. The doors that drop down over the hide area, the thin wood started to peel up. I would say these are probably good like he's using them to roll in and out but I wouldn't use one of these in direct weather year round and expect it to hold up. Just an FYI

@Tracykobebean12410 ай бұрын
It’s okay for a tiny tiny bit, but you can fix that. What you can do is mix it into the soil and it every day still mist it. One thing about every tortoise is that they will eat everything that is green from day one, when there hatched.
