Saw an interview where he said that doing his one man stage show about all of this was really cathartic and healing for him, as has recording this show. He seems to be doing much better now. Telling our stories, especially over and over, can really integrate these types of traumatic experiences (it’s the basis of a practice called narrative therapy).

That final stage scene & the super long hold on Donny's face as he's bearing his soul to the world absolutely shattered me into pieces watching this. Had to pause and play so many times just so I could see the screen through the tears, some of the greatest acting ive ever seen. Not this year, not in this genre, ever.

In reality, Richard Gann didn't really pour everything out onstage, but he did reach a point he cracked and told someone everything. I don't know who. I don't think he could stand bottling it anymore. He must have been perfectly exhausted. I deeply hope he's had a lot of therapy since.

yh he didn't necesarily sleep with th stalker he able to sleep with teri while rly thinking abt martha her saying "somebody hurt you didn't they" halfway and cut to teri implies it didn't happen fr

10:38 I've never heard that it's a thing you can't deny a woman hydration while she's on her period. I think she made that up on the spot, delivered aggressively to make it sound like a human right.

Loving this crazy journey! But did he actually have sex with Martha and what was that time line and why wasn't that brought up by her to police? And was Terri pre op or post op? thanks!

So he didn’t actually have sex with her - he was thinking about her when with Teri

Teri was most likely pre-op, Donny is a chaser, he’s using her to work out issues with this his own confusion about his sexuality.

I doubt the period part but I’ve heard in England places that serve drinks have to legally give you free water if you ask for it, I don’t know if that’s true since I live in the US and have been in the UK
