Aw I just gave my Baba his first rusk biscuit yesterday for his 6 month birthday. He loved it but it was so messy because we thought to try finger food first. I love how your videos match up with my little dudes milestones, it's nice to see other parents going through it.

Baby led weaning is what I do for this reason. I wait for my babies until they are sitting unassisted and actually are interested in food and are able to bring it to their mouth! I think my son's food was roasted sweet potato fries at 6 months old.

It's strange watching Asher struggle with regular food as a baby when he's now an eating machine lol. I think Violet will be the same way. She already appeared to be adjusting to the bananas.

Both my kids gagged with mushy food. But your husband is right, they DO figure it out. But as soon as I offered little pieces of food on their tray, they grabbed it and ate it. 💁🏻‍♀️ Turns out, it called Baby Led Weaning…who knew. 😂 But I feel that mom panic when they gag. You’ll both enjoy feeding time soon. You’re doing such a great job!
