Baby's Coming Home - Jerry Reed (Tommy Emmanuel)

I love playing this Jerry Reed tune. It's just a happy song and really fun to play. I first heard Tommy Emmanuel play it at CAAS last summer. Daniele Bazzani showed me the basics and then TE helped me fine tune it a few months ago. This is the final product! Thanks to them for the help. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

I've been checking out all your tunes over the last week and I love them all. It's too hard for me to yet say which is my favorite, but this one must run very close. I first got into fingerpicking Way back in the 1970's after I bought Richard Saslow's ragtime book, but I kind of lost interest and eventually turned to the fiddle. Now I'm 71 years old and finding time to renew my interest. I Stumbled across you by looking up Saslow tunes again, and I'm so glad that I did that because you have my enthusiasm absolutely raging. I really love your playing. Yes, Tommy (a fellow Aussie) is a guitar god, but to be honest, your playing has a joy to it that I like better. Thank you so much.

Thanks, Michael! I appreciate the good words! I learn mostly by watching others and by ear. I've been lucky to have people like Tommy Emmanuel show me things. I don't read notes and am very slow reading tab, but I've been blessed with a good ear. Once I see it, I can usually duplicate it, with LOTS and lots of repetition. I also can figure things out by ear. A tip..never play or practice in the same room with friends or family! Wait till it's learned and then surprise them! Cheers, Bunny
