What a heartwarming story and a lucky break for the baby sloth that you cared enough to help him, and even luckier, that his mum (hopefully, it WAS his real mum, which would make the whole thing stupendous!) eventually found where he was being looked after. There are so many goodhearted people out there who do their best to alleviate the suffering of animals, and your only reward that you get (or want) is to see them go on their way happily.
