Dani, you have taken many thousands of us on an emotional journey. When a wild animal overcomes their basic instinct and gives you love and loyalty, its for a good reason. You gave Roo life when it could have been over...twice. Animals never forget, just as we could not forget this experience with you. The love of a wild animal is unconditional. Trust that you have done the right thing and try not to fret over him, because we out here, all over the world, are doing that for you.

I'll be waiting patiently for Roo's next tale. Such beautiful photos of a little red squirrel who has stolen the hearts of many. I must admit my heart stopped a beat when i saw the road he must cross. It sank into my gut when you showed the trees that will be cut down forever, harming wildlife habitat. I wish humans would be better stewards of the planet earth. My spirits were lifted though, when Roo took you on a 5 hour adventure to share his world. I believe you will always be his person. as a zoologist, its such a blessing to see people like you who know that wild animals belong in the wilds. there are so many selfish people out there who would have kept him as a pet. I have seen people "adopting" bob cats they found sick, using the poor animals condition for their own gain and to have an "exotic pet". People like you who promote Rehablitation are such a need and thank you for sharing this with the world. We need more people like you. only nature is species-appropriate. ❤🧡
@michael-bell9 ай бұрын
There are exceptions. Both to the idea that a wild animal only belongs in the wild and to the idea that wildlife cannot form personal relationships with human beings and exercise their own free will to maintain that relationship or visit that person at any location and in any capacity in which they choose, and the idea that humans and wildlife cannot of their own free will and self-determination share their food and resources and seek to cooperate. I say this as someone who has both helped rehabilitate and raise wild crows and other wildlife, and currently works privately within the field of ethology, a subfield of zoology, on interspecies communication, regularly interacting with, communicating with, walking with, playing with, and sharing occasional healthy species appropriate food with, safe to interact with wildlife, like crows, like ravens, like ducks, and Canada geese

For 4yrs we have had a beautiful princess ( we don't name them ) squirrel visit us everyday and now thinks she owns our house. From sitting on top of my head while I am working at my desk to bringing her litters each year, she has enriched our lives beyond anything I would have ever imagined. I tiggle her tummy sometimes and gently rub her head, apart from that we don't pet and don't bet bit. Finding walnuts and peanuts hidden under our pillows in the bedroom gives you an idea of how at ease she is with us. p.s We live in a major city, so it makes it extra special a wild animal trusts us.

I tired finding a rehabilitation group but no one responded …. Likely because of over loaded space… I so appreciate this video because it helps to know what to expect and look forward to… thank you so much for your love of squirrels …. That shot of Ruben gracefully leaping from canopy to canopy was nothing short of breathtaking! 🐿✨ And can we talk about the cinematic touch you added with your SAAB in the background? That was a pleasant surprise and added such a unique element to the scene. Your wildlife rescue efforts are truly commendable, and it's heartwarming to see the dedication and care you put into making a difference in the lives of these adorable red squirrels. It's not just about photography; it's about conservation and the incredible bond you've developed with the wildlife. The storytelling in your episodes is so engaging, and the editing is on point. Every moment is crafted with precision, making it impossible for viewers like me to look away. The sound effects, too, contribute to the immersive experience.
