Just any kind of enclosure with a clear or semi clear opening could cause stress to the Tortoise. I highly reccomend getting a darker colored bin as told in the video but I hope thay helps, have fun with your new pet Tortoise!

Tortoises don't hibernate. They sleep for a good amount of time but they never really hibernate. Also even if it is you should leave him alone, the last think you want to to is to annoy your tortoise
