This came across my feed today-I apologize for being so late to the party, I had to comment. I know this isn’t exactly what you were saying however, I want to you to know you weren’t alone.. people who say they love their baby the second they popped out drive me nuts. However, I have come to the conclusion that it depends on your definition of love. Your ability to be honest with yourself. Listen up ladies! when I had my children I felt protective. Yes, I was proud. Yes, I cared about them. I cared about the baby next incubator over that was crying. I cared about the puppy that was abandoned in the street too. They first have to develop a personality for you to even know who they are. I’m sure they looked at me initially as a milk machine. Until they grew attached to me. I’m sure I’ll get blasted for this but it’s the truth sister, thank you for your honesty. And ladies you’re not a bad mommy if you looked at that vernix covered, slimy, bloody screaming kid that just slid out and thought “geez did that come out of me? Or it’s about time “ etc. you’ll love your baby more each and every day. I honestly say I love my 38 year old a gadzillion times more than the day he was born. ( most days :). It’s human. No worries

I cannot find my original comment from earlier but I had just watched the current zoo visit video with cousins and I'd mentioned how you let your children be themselves completely and it hit me in this video I'd seen her little personality blossom and can see it shine thru every video I've watched with her since and it hit me how much she's impacted me since first "meeting" her. I love everything about her and your relationship with each of your children is perfect and special and her sense of self is huge! This little bit of a girl with your straw...passing it from hand to lucky hand is perfection! Your husband is right and I feel like I've been given a gift with this little bitty girl at the helm...it might not make sense and it's hard to describe, but thank you. ❤

I’m grinning with tears in my eyes. 😊 This video is so beautiful, and I’m so glad Chris suggested you tell this story. Total cuteness overload with baby Freya, tiny Fiona and Jesse (missed tiny Liam, but I’m sure he was just as cute!), all those baby belly laughs, and sweet family moments. I really love that you both are intentional about nurturing individual relationships with your children as well as nurturing the group family dynamic. It’s so evident that your children are thriving and that Freya has such love and support from everyone. I’ve always had a special place in my heart for kids who know what they like and what they don’t like, who have a mischievous streak and a stubborn streak, and a great sense of humor. I feel like society has traditionally looked upon those things more favorably in boys, so when I see it celebrated in girls, it’s wonderful. Laughter really is “the shortest distance between two people.” ❤️

A truly wonderful story. I don't have children, only nieces and nephews, however, I am the oldest of 5 girls, and there are 7 years between myself and my youngest sister. We are all very different. Obviously, I am older and things were different growing up, I had an amazing mother and father and grandma's and grandpa's. My adult life has been challenging. I see how you embrace all your children and you see all of them. I really enjoy learning about your family. I see such abounding love and it just makes my heart happy...I don't see Freya as any different than any other well loved child. They are all special.❤

My dad had a polio affected arm from childhood and he lived a full loving life, had a loving wife, 4 kids (adults now) and grandchildren. He's gone now and I wouldn't trade one second loving my dad and proud to be his daughter. He taught me to be kind, charitable and respectful to everyone. O she is so precious. I get that it was a comfort to realize that Freya had a personality and you were not just caring for a human body. I used to be scared of people with disabilities when I young, But Have fallen in love with them in the last 10 years. They are the purest beings God has ever created and have so much love to give. I loved this Marcie you know as a Mother myself that connection with your child is so personal to each individual. It’s special, thank you for sharing with us those precious moments. You have those videos to keep when things get tough. You know when I found out my son had the same eye condition as myself, I cried and couldn’t stop crying it’s good that I had someone with me, it’s a congenital condition, I just thought he was going to have the same negative life that I had. Your right the stigma involved with disability has just been hushed up for now. I really enjoyed watching your connection videos with Frae, we didn’t have video of our magic moments. Take care X

Aw, so cute, i was waiting for some baby pics of Freya. For sure. I understand that it can be difficult to tell the story. When I was born, they didn't know there was anything wrong with me, always went to specialists and stuff, but they could never pinpoint it, so to speak. I was always sick and always heeling over the ditch case. When I was fifteen I was diagnosed with 22q11. That is why I am also interested in people who have children with special needs. Unfortunately, I don't dare to have children myself. Because of too much risk that they will get even sicker than me . And I have trouble with that. I have a lot of respect to see how you / You and Stepanie George are raising the kids. Also one of the reasons I follow your channels. I liked seeing baby pictures of Freya ❤❤🙏🙏
