Liza Tanzawa I don’t understand any of it! I went to Australia and wanted to get my kids a couple bat souvenirs- there was NOTHING! All koala bears kangaroos etc. It’s just not right Children once seeing a flying fox would be in love- my kids are. Adults are always surprised how adorable they are. You are right this should be a tourist activity- maybe a combo learn about bats, see them do a night fly out and have a lovely fruit themed dinner! 🍇🍑🍒🍌🍐🍎🥭🥝

@@BabyBatsBuddiesofAustralia I'm new to your videos, so I was curious. Do you plan to release James? Or is he too domesticated? And IS there a such thing?♡♡♡
@maxpower89165 жыл бұрын
@@robinbowman4549 James will or has been released. Some Flying Foxes (bats) are kept for educational purposes but most are released through a release program (soft release). I don't think any bats in general are domesticated. The program itself at one point starts to dehumanize the bats by placing them with others of their own age group with little human contact and then they learn how to be bats.

Almost 27 yrs ago, when I was young, I saw my first bat in Columbia SC zoo. Staring mesmerized, fascinated I thought I should report one of the bats had worms! Staring I couldn't believe my eyes, as my brain said, "No, look again, be still, observe." It was my first bat experience and I realized... Not a worm and also, my gosh what Big " bat balls"! I still laugh about it now at almost eighty years old.... just hilarious. My story is titled The Day I Fell in Love With Bats at the Columbia Zoo". (That was my realization that they were not scary at all but precious little animals!) I just adore bats, what a helpful and useful animal to our magnificent planet! Thank you and thank God for all the people that rescue (and love) these precious gifts.
