Getrag LSD 3.92 Differential Post Break-in Review

Nice car! After installing the new diff, did you notice the development of a whirring noise and or a noticeable clunk when shifting from forward to reverse and vice versa. My 392 diff was swapped on a wrt issue and started making racket shortly after. Any insight would be appreciated as Im deciding if whether or not to buy a new one and install it. The Getrag is notorious for problems! Thanks

I saw some people say they had to change the whole rear cradle for the zf model ones in the newer chargers and challengers. Did you have to for the 3.91?

No. But the ZF diff is completely different than the getrag so for people going that route the rear cradle change is necessary due to the mounting bolt locations being different if going with the ZF diff on the 2011-2014 models.

I swapped my 5.7 gears 2.92s I think to 3.09s and it was also night and day. Changed the car completely.. what was your stock gears?

The stock gears were 3.09s. But I recently traded this car in due to some major issues I ran into, however the gear swap will be my first major upgrade on my new ride.

EvilBullEyez the 3.09’s were OEM on the SRT8’s, but the 3.92 gears I got from RPMoutlet.

No i only needed the pumpkin as it was a direct swap
