Man u know your stuff. I am glad i subscribed to your chanel. I have a 2023 charger scat widebody with HK. I am in the process changing out all 3.5 to infinity 307. Helix makes 12 chanel with 14 chanel dsp. Dont know what do on the 6x9. Thoughts? Or can u guide me to another route?

Hey, im looking to replace my challengers stock speakers with JBL speakers. Im not really in need of an amp or crazy bass, so im wondering if itll still sound better if i just upgrade the interior dash, door, and rear speakers.

If you’re going to just replace the speakers there is no need to do any additional wiring. Just make sure to get the metra harness adapters for your dash speakers (part# Metra 72-7902) and the harness adapter for your front door and rear deck speakers (part# Metra 72-6514) so you dont have to cut into any wiring to splice in speaker leads. The Metra harness adapters come with them on it already and makes it a true plug and play setup for your new speakers. As far as sound it will sound night and day better than OEM however will sound even better if you later decide to amplify them with an aftermarket amp.

Man im not about to tackle this lol. Do you live in Florida i'll bring you my challenger LOL. Actually my brother found some plan best buy has. $200 and they do free installs for life. He has a butt load of audio crap in the trunk of his charger they are about to install. So thats not bad at all. Other places were quoting him $65 a hour to total about $600!! Hell no. Also from part one. You ran the remote to a accessory fuse. In my other car all i did was drop in a box with two 12s. I ran the remote wire to empty fuse spot as well. Im like that was easy. Why the F is everyone saying I need to run it to the head unit. Then i found out why like a year later. Normally my head unit turns on and off with my car. But one day I was driving along and accidentally turned off the radio. The amp was of course still on powering the subs. Holy Fucking shit!!! Deep deep loud ass bass was rattling my windows, rear view mirror and my ear drums. Im like OHHHH. Now I know why we Arent suppose to run it to the accessory fuse

Yes I live in florida but depending on how much stuff your friend had, $600 could actually be a good deal for install. People are always quick to want the cheapest price for installs of major systems but dont understand the amount of labor that goes into all of that. The system i put in my boys car in this video took about 6-8 hours total especially doing it by myself so trust me he paid for my time to do this install as well. That being said, your accessory fuse has nothing to do with your speakers making a loud booming sound when your radio is turned off. Ive always ran the remote wire to that location and no one has ever had any issues with it including myself. So you may want to look at getting a better LOC or you may have bad grounds or etc.

@@Srtfiedofficial oh damn! Lol thats funny. Didnt realize you really do live in FL. Well its not a issue now. When i bought my challenger I took the box out of my other car. I was going to sell that car. Then i saw the 13-15MPG my challenger got and im like mmmmmm. Better keep this.one to get back and forth to work lol. I just assumed since everyone said I need to run the remote to the radio and I didnt listen. I. Assumed thats why i got that horrific feed back when the radio turned off. I didnt do anything about it since I just never turned the radio off

Yea I mean you can run it to your radio however there are other options such as the one I do that work just fine as well. Poor wiring habits or mistakes, bad grounds, poor tuning and going the cheap route on key system components are the biggest factors of feedback or distortion issues in sound systems.

Yes once you go with an aftermarket amp to run your front door speakers, you will get a full signal to your front door speakers unless you install inline low pass filters.

Yes! Thats generally what I recommend if you’re not running component speakers. Just make sure to add at least a 500hz bass blocker to the dash speakers if you do so.

@Srtfied Official seems like the factory door and dash speakers are already wired in parallel because after installing my new 3 5 inch infinity to my stock system it seems like the door speakers have more punch

You need to do what is done in this video as the factory amp internally has a crossover to split the signal between your front door and dash speakers.

I have the harmon kardon sound package and it really isn't bad . Just added 2 skar 12's and they hit super hard. Looking to add some tweeters in the front doors, can I tap into the factory front door wiring to add these new tweeters?

Id recommend upgrading the dash speakers with the tweeters and add 500hz bass blockers or tap into the dash speaker wires and run them to the new location of the tweeters your adding to your front doors but still adding bass blockers to be safe. The front door speakers only play mid bass frequencies which is crossed over at the factory amp which is not what you want to send to your tweeters as they will blow instantly. The only way to get your front door speakers to play a full range sound and signal is to bypass the factory amp and run an aftermarket amp to your front door speakers.

The sound processor also acts as an LOC so the RCA’s came from the output side of the processor and go into the input side of the amps.

What wiring harness did you use to bypass the amp? I have a 08 r/t and I wanna do the same thing on my car like you did.

I used the Pac APH-CH01 harness but this harness doesnt bypass the amp! It taps into the amplified wires in order to wire in a sound processor. Im not sure which Pac harness you’d need in order to bypass the amp on your ride. Go to the pac audio website and see what your options are for your year and make as you dont have to deal with the uconnect system on that year range.

Yes you can wire it up accordingly. You can wire two sets of speakers to two of the channels and one set to the other two. Its the same concept as if you’re running two subs on a 1 channel amp except you’re doing it on one set of the channels on a 4 channel amp. Just make sure whatever ohm’s you’re wiring them to that your 4 channel amp can handle it at each channel.

Nice install bro, I just got started on mine last weekend. Gonna try do a little more this weekend coming. hopefully I can be 90% finish. Im doing a AudioControl DM608 DSP. Tapping into my front speaker wires for signal then doing a 3 amp set up for high, mid and lows. I just followed you on IG, BaysideCharger_Jay, you can see my amp set up there.

Yea I feel you! I thought about going active myself however I’m happy with what I had in my last charger so I’m going the same route on my new one except I’m going with a better set of components speakers in the front and coaxials in the rear for better overall sound. I’ll be making a full video of that including a much more detailed version on how to wire up a DSP once I do so stay posted for that.

So I replaced my door speakers in my sonata with jbl gto don't sound good i was thinking of adding a 4 channel or 5 but wasnt sure i would get good sound or enough bass with 4 channel was curious on your thoughts.

Amplifying them will just make them louder and bring the full potential out of those speakers so it will sound better with either amp you choose as long as you get one that matches the required RMS for those speakers at the required ohm range. That being said adding an amp doesnt always mean it will sound better as that is limited to the speaker location, enclosure, design and most of all tuning.

@@Srtfiedofficial hmm yea cuz ive had them installed with everything else factory dont sound that well so i went ahead got a 5 channel infinity amp and gonna use my cerwin sub i had. was gonna try to avoid sub cuz didnt want crazy bass but from what i hear most door speakers dont produce that much bass..got sound deadener too and dynamat...so yea as well as upgrading wiring...have a friend who installs so hopefully sounds good
