Does anyone know what will be allowable for receiver flat alternatives? I'd like to build some AKs in the next couple years but looks like easy to complete flats will be a thing of the past.

Get yourself some AK receiver blanks now. August 23 is the last day you can buy them without going through an FFL

Nobody knows what if anything will be allowed for AK’s. The “final rule” uses AK flats as an example of something that won’t even be allowed. If it pleases the king us peasants can still get 100% FFL receivers 🤷‍♂️

Ever consider AK Builder? They sell 80's like this as well. Heat treated, stamped, reinforcement plate welded in, etc.
