What a lovely couple a hours of just Mitchum....... couldnt do better, as a kid i used to thit through the movies with my Dad, when he was home...... he was often akin with his movie actors. liked a drink or two...... lol.

My father's early life was a carbon copy of Mitchum's. I guess because of it, there is a tremendous resemblance in their demeanor...a sorta quiet knowing...you can't fool me look in the eyes.

The "Chain Gang" was actually in Chatham County Georgia. They took off the chains because he was basically a harmless 15 year old. He ran and never looked back. Later on he made a movie in Savannah the County seat of Chatham County. At least that's what Mitchum said about it.
