You and some other beauties with hair like mine turned me on to this iron. I bit the bullet and invested. Now, I will say the herstyler superstyler goes up to 500F (they say) and it’s all ceramic. For $26 I got that too just to have a ceramic option that’s not damaging. Think I will crank my Babyliss to the max for my new morticia look though cause my 3b-4a hair doesn’t stay straight for long. I’m really hoping titanium plates will help flatten my hair out and stay straight for at least 4 days with no touch ups. Thank you for the reviews. Xoxo

You’re welcome ♥️♥️♥️ I need to check out that ceramic iron 😬 but I do the same with my babyliss I will put it up to the max to get that straight sleek look and it gets the job done but make sure you use your heat protector and a good serum for that shine look, it honestly would be better if you find a frizz and humidity fighter so the sleek can last longer.. I feel like it works good for a few days, but after that, my hair is frizzing back up because I’m natural and I like to work out and get in the sauna.

@@QueenLaporscha Great tips! ceramic doesn't transfer heat as well. It's great for people with finer hair. It may get your hair straight but it won't last. There's no such thing as no damage when it comes to heat tools. 500 is way to high and in long term will ruin hair. heat protectant is key one that is solely designed for that not advertised as 10-1 or something like that. The hair industry is not super regulated so they can right no damage on many things you read the fine print and it will say if you use at lowest temp once a week etc. I have been a hairstylist 12 years and educating. aveda Color specialist and primarily do coarse hair. one tip i can pass is is you can get the hair straight in one pass its to hot for long term crank it down one notch and on hit the area one more time. Blowdry professor has a good video on this technique. The better the blow-dry the longer the silk press will last, Try t only apply heat once a week. My babyliss last me 10 years til someone stole it from my salon its the best for coarse hair and will last forever.

Babybliss has a 1 year warranty if I’m not mistaken you should call them and have them replace the old one.
