That council scene is something that I love about Babylon 5 - it has a great sense of Realpolitik and all the compromised decisions it leads to. The Narn trying to manoeuvre the trial to their homeworld, the Minbari unwilling to reveal their history... It's not something you see many shows really delve in to. The Vorlons are something else, they see things in such a different way to all the other races and you don't get what they're up to until they let you know. It was nice of Jha'Dur to give the justification for them wiping her out

If you like the first season than will LOVE the rest! At this moment no one can defeat the Vorlons. Be prepared for the next episode no one will be laughing!

Personally, I LOVE the scale of Deathwalker's macheavelian Evil! (it's quite impressive) It leaves even the WORST humanity has ever produced, in the dust! (although I do get the historical parallels they are going for) "Is Kosh going to suffer any consequences for all this?" I think you missed the point. HUMANS are NOT the "big kid on the block" in Babylon 5. (in fact, we are relatively NEW to space travel) The VORLONS are the "big man on campus". So? WHOM do you think is going to try to INFLICT those "consequences" on Kosh?

"How many people have died for that?" Hehehehe. "Tyrants seldom show remorse for their brutality." The Russian knows her people's history, that's for sure. Kosh may be aloof, but that means when he gets involved, it's a big fracking deal. "And you're just going to walk off again?" Kosh likes to be mysterious and ccr@p. Also he's practically untouchable, so he's not going to face consequences for messing with the station's dedicated telepath. Humans are the new kids on the block who got beaten within an inch of their life after getting cocky. The Vorlons are the biggest and oldest on the block. That Molari knows to les this slide should say something of their power. The blustering, impulsive hedonist saw immortality destroyed by a Vorlon ship and decided to leave it at that. HE knows not to press his luck. "You are not ready for immortality." Not only true, that may be the first time we every hear a Vorlon give a straight answer, and it's not a common thing after this. "Is Kosh going to get in trouble for this?" HAH! He was able to send in a warship to take the kill everyone wanted an hour ago, and in doing so, also deny them immortality. And no one started yelling. He walked away as everyone took in his words. That seems like he's going to get away with it.

The concept of a immortality serum that depends upon the death of another was used in the '60'sin the novel BUG JACK BARRON by Norman Spinrad. It's pretty horrific.

Ah! DeathWalker. The scope of her evil is staggering. Well, she did get what was coming to her, after all. Talia's weird experience with Kosh and the Vicar (VCR) - Kosh being even more mysterious than before. Here es a rare event: After DeathWalker's ship is destroyed: "You are not ready for immortality!" Hmm! a clear answer out of the Vorlon? Did that ever happen before? Question: Do the Vorlons believe that they are so superior that they can do this without consequences? Apparently they do, and they are indeed very powerful, in the technological sense.

This was almost a faithful recreation of Operation Paperclip right there, only there weren't any Vorlons to stop US that time around.

Any consequences for Kosh? Simply put, no. What can anyone do to him? The Vorlon Empire is ridiculously powerful. The humans were pushed to the brink of extinction by the Minbari, and the Vorlons are orders of magnitude more powerful than the Minbari. They don't _need_ to bother asking for permission from the younger races because they're just. that. strong. The most Talia can do is refuse to work for Kosh in the future. Prosecuting telepathic crime is extremely difficult for the court system even under normal circumstances. The most the Earth Alliance can do about the Deathwalker situation is pointlessly moan about the Vorlons blowing up an obviously evil sadistic war criminal with the nom de guerre of _Deathwalker._

Puzzles in this episode: why was Kosh Naranek really recording Talia, as later episodes will show, perhaps he knew something about her. Also: the theme of the episode was living forever. Did Kosh record Talia for later? One last thing: it's been stated that Vorlon ships never miss, but this one fired twice, only hitting Jha-dur with the second shot: what else was there that was more important?

Regular , Sci-Fi or Sci-Fantasy logic doesn't apply. In Babylon 5 even if someone told you would be like no freaking way I have to see it. Babylon 5 aired on UPN than canceled after the second season than TNT picked up made the movies In the Beginning , Third Space , The River of Souls ,A call to arms. Bill Mummy / Lenair stared as Will Robison in Lost in Space! Will you be reviewing the movies as well?
