The best video on babylon tower. Because of 29:14 to 30:00, I can solve parity with ease. I appreciate your video. :)

Thanks! I'm glad this was helpful! That parity case is very unintuitive to solve as you need to offset an entire row to solve what seems to be only one bad bead : )

Have you tried solve row by row with the correct gradient and a parity?
@22PUZZLE226 жыл бұрын
@@livesimplifiedlife Do you mean have I tried avoiding the parity during a solve? To that question, no, no I haven't because I think it would be more difficult than fixing the parity at the end. If you mean solve each disk first from the bottom to the top, I also have not tried that. That would be an interesting approach, though! Once you sort all the beads in their track, you can solve each disk from the darkest to the lightest, though you would still need to shuffle the last disk beads at the end...

Yes I mean solving row by row from bottom to the top and then solve its correct gradient and then you end up with a parity case. Give it a try, it's fun. Do you find the puzzle is less fun when there is no parity?
@22PUZZLE226 жыл бұрын
Interesting approach! I'd say the puzzle is more fun when I come across a parity, as long as the fix doesn't mean memorizing a long algorithm or resolving most of the puzzle from scratch

My method for solving this is to unscrew the top, dismantle the puzzle and then reassemble it in the correct order.

Haha, that works, too!

Hi, you're in luck, it looks like eBay has got some currently! But yeah, I don't think these puzzles are in production anymore, so it's rare to find them in regular online puzzle sites.

O had this puzzle when I was a child. But it got lost. Any ideas where can I buy it? I could not find it in the shop in the description.
@22PUZZLE223 жыл бұрын
Hi, looks like eBay has a few at the moment, though availability depends on where you live; just search up "Babylon tower". Cheers!

Are they kidding? 40-60$ + shipping? Most of them even looks like already used.

The price of rare vintage puzzles, unfortunately. I usually save searches, then eBay emails me whenever there are new matches. Sometimes you get lucky with a reasonable price and closer seller

Video was a bit too long i only made it halfway to the scrambling and did no want solution spoilers but it did help me decide to buy because of the up close review on the quality. Plan the content segments about 1 minute each. Think about the elevator marketing pitch when organising what to say or a TV advert that has only seconds to make you want their product. The suggested is 3 mins and the audience interest lost but i think about 5 or less is still ok. Most people will look for short 1-3 min video vs 30min video to get info quick. If you want to do the solve, split that in another video, then in description give a breakdown. Petethegeek has lengthy videos but he plans them well to split on unboxing and tutorial. Meaningful quality not lengthy quality. Otherwise nobody will bother to watch even if there is valuable info. You only need length mainly in writing research, thesis, auditing, and investigation reports.

ny wf Greetings! I do tend to have a slow pace and get bogged down with details. I have tried in the distant past to separate reviews and solves, but a channel could become flooded if each puzzle had two or three videos to it's name. In an ideal world, a user would select a puzzle they're interested in, then jump to the relevant part in a video (unboxing, review, solution), but the total time indeed would be daunting. While some may say that it's great to have the audience wanting more, I find it's frustrating for videos reviewing rare items such as these. Often, other reviewers have short videos, but don't answer some questions that a viewer may have, so this may explain my need to be in-depth. I think the best I can do is separate out the solution if it becomes too long and try to improve my pacing. Thanks for your feedback!

Poor me - life is such a struggle. If not personal challenge, it's trying to describe minutiae to someone who doesn't care.

Richard Dimery Hm, your comment's gone recursive. Life is a struggle, but we also try to entertain ourselves with less boring things, too, hence this puzzle with absolutely no practical application whatsoever
