They performed this last year but with Metalverse mirroring them and singing some lines. While that was cool to see, I much prefer it like this. I love that they still perform this song as if it was just released yesterday... their vocals and choreo are performed just like they did over a decade ago! This song still holds up today. A new fan seeing and hearing this song for the first time would not have a clue how old it is by they way they performed it in this video! That's another thing that I love about BABYMETAL, they give their ALL in EVERY performance no matter how old the song is.🤘🦊🤘

Niiiiiice one, thanks! "DDM" premiered live on November 28th 2010 at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse during a Sakura Gakuin performance at Sakura Gakuin-sai☆2010. It was, obviously, their first live performance ever. Momoko had performed it earlier during all the ten 10 BABYMETAL Budokan shows in 2021 and also in BABYMETAL Returns (January 2023) featuring METALVERSE. BUT it's MOMOMETAL's first "DDM" performance (as a full member). I'm an old-school metalhead. I was there at the Yokohama Arena and I enjoyed it a lot. 😁

@@Codametal Yes the Red Brick Warehouse is in Yokohama, harbor zone, easy to find. Yes, I visited the "Megitsune" shrine (Asagaya Shinmei-gu)... three times until we got to see the Noh theater (the stage where they perform in the video) open. They only open it in weekends and national holidays (with good weather). I need to thank again my friend and commenter here FlugelhornOldMan for calling the shrine to ask for this info. 😊

Over the last year of the Reborn Babymetal Momo and Moa have become even more of a well oiled machine, and you can see it in their faces with how relaxed and happy they look through the whole show on the Blu-ray, and being able to interact with the audience without missing a beat. A choreographer said that you can tell how good a performer is by how much they look like they are having to concentrate or whether it looks like they just know their routine without thinking. I also like how this venue has the stage able to be much closer to the audience than the PIA Arena set up, and you can see more close up shots of their facial expressions.

@@gaijinguineapig Have you ever seen their debut performance of DDM from 2010 on a tiny stage? If not, a good video is titled "60fps conversion - BABYMETAL - DEBUT - Sakura Gakuin Festival 2010 - Doki Doki Morning" and it has the now famous "white t-shirt guy".

I think they figured all these videos will end up on KZbin anyway so they may as well post them first. The best haven't been released so buy the DVD to enjoy them, 'Believing' on 21 night is outstanding

The first time I saw/heard Babymetal was the DDM video, and the song still sounds as great as ever. I've heard them play it with Yui and as a duo, with only Moa doing the secondary vocals. This is the first time I've heard that song with Momo singing in it.

Loved this. My face hurts from smiling so much. I've had a thought/observation whatever. But it seems to me since Momo has become an official member Babymetal have really been having such a great time. And have been dipping into the kawaii pool with some regularity. I first noticed it on "Leave it all Behind." Kawaii turned up to 11. Then in Ratatata the karaoke scene. The recent tour version of "Yava". When Babymetal go kawaii NOBODY is more adorably cute!

Great reaction - and as in the comments below, it predates your thoughts on when they first performed it by a couple of years. I will second the suggestion for a reaction to a video with them rehearsing for that and then showing that very first performance in November 2010 - "BABYMETAL-First Doki Doki Morning 2010 HD"🦊

Nice reaction! I am always impressed how Su manages to go back to her cute and real young sounding voice for that song. I love it so much and the choreo is so darn kawaii. It felt like we were clapping for like 5 minutes before the song started but it was totally worth it, and the shouting was way louder at the venue than in the video 😂. 🤘🦊🔥
