⚡ 💀 💕 / 🤘 Even though Suzuka was only twelve years old when BABYMETAL started, and sixteen at 'LEGEND 1997', it wasn't "her first rodeo". She already had a lot of experience. Su started modeling when she was three years old, and passed the solo singing audition for Actors School Hiroshima (ASH) when she was eight. She signed with Amuse, Inc. the next year, and at ten years old, was the youngest member of the J-Pop trio Karen Girl's when they started in 2008. Of course Su was a founding member of Sakura Gakuin when that group began in 2010, and BABYMETAL was created as one of its sub-units later that year. Between the time that Sakura Gakuin started, and BABYMETAL recorded their first song, Su found time to star in the stage musical 'Boukensha-tachi'. : )

Great reaction and good job spotting the Pikachu, Sofi! Don't worry about pausing. It hasn't been excessive and pausing is a part of reactions anyway. Only thing I would say is back up the video a few seconds before you restart. As far as Akatsuki, I concur with Ganimal's suggestion to do Akatsuki unfinished version as well as the 2014 Budokan Black night version (my very first favorite Babymetal song!). Kitsune Up!

it's definitely one of my favorite song because of it's story about a girl going to a concert all by herself and experience it , btw i don't condone that :)) always bring someone with you if ever going into one.

This performance was the first time the Kami band played on stage, earlier the skeleton band were miming playing instruments. Also Su's 16th birthday (1997 title concert) You need to see Death, also at this concert performance. (answers the question of the Mary statue in back). Then you can jump forward in time a little for "Moabanger" and to last year "Momobanger". There is a Yuibanger but from fan vids I believe. Look up the lyrics especially this song, you will notice a small change in the other versions if you Japanese is strong.

Nice reaction as always. Never worry too much about pausing, within reason. People are watching to see your reaction, sort of like why people join clubs to share an interest with like minded people, and can always just watch the video to see it uninterrupted. Q. How do you get noticed in a crowd of BabyMetal fans all wearing black? A. Wear a bright yellow Pikachu costume The early lives were full of energy so there were several Su solo songs to give Yui & Moa a break and, as the joke goes, to finish their homework and Black BabyMetal songs to give Su a rest. Your next Akatsuki is one of those. I know you said no suggestions, so forgive me 🙏, but you did also mention you, like me, enjoy anime. Meta Taro isn't from an anime but it sounds like it's from an old school show from the 60s or 70s so maybe one for the list.

Great reaction and this concert was on December 21, 2013, one day after Su-Metal's 16th birthday. When people ask her what she did for her 16th birthday she just says I made 8K people bow down to me. Later in this show as the closer you get to see that she statue in the back for for (some say it's face is Su's) in the song "Death"

Thanks for coming back with this suggestion. A lot of the whole meaning behind this special live show and that statue will be revealed when watching "Babymetal Death" so just wait for it. This song was part of the World Tour 2023/2024, everyone love this song and were having a blast with the girls headbanging real hard in the middle section instead of the usual bowing down on their knees or having fun with the cryo smoke gun. They did it recently at Warsaw in Poland playing for the first time as a headlining show and fans went wild, they're not kids anymore although they still do that "baby-hedoban" (which is headbanging side to side) when doing the choreo. You'll find many more special versions celebrating their birthday, such recently last March when the new official member MomoMetal did it at Legend MM, Yokohama Arena celebrating her "20 Night", we called it "MomoBanger", and the day after her "21 Night" with another different song. This was at Legend 1997 (that's the title of this live concert referring to SuMetal birthyear) in 2013 celebrating SuMetal 16th Birthday, and the whole concert was special, if you want to know the rest of the songs finishing this, those are: - "Akatsuki" Unfinished Version, a beautiful SuMetal solo version with only a piano behind, the original song is a power/speed metal balad - "Babymetal Death", be ready for this insane ending, Legend 1997 was an special live concert, and along with Legend 1999, Yui and MoaMetal's birthday, are tied together to represent the commitment of these girls with this group, a new rebirth. The live concert and also this song got plenty of tributes to the greatest metal bands, like Metallica and X-Japan, specially Yoshiki, the gong at the end is one of those, you'll find more and plenty of this to add to their lore. The statue behind is SuMetal resemblance and is a tribute to Metallica's Lady Justice. The Kami Band here are insane set of elite musicians who were send to help with the metal sound, "kami" means roughly "god", they're wearing burial white robes and corpse face paint to represent those spiritual entities. They rotate so probably you won't see some of them in all live concerts (especially the guitarrists). They are: - Míkio Fujioka, god of guitar, a beloved member, sadly he passed away in 2018. (R.I.P.), he's the one doing that sick solo. - Leda Cygnus, god of guitar, he's the only Kami Band member who's credited as a session musician when recording some albums tracks. - BOH, god of bass, he's the bald one and not only got amazing talent but her fun way to enjoy reminds me Flea from RHCP. You can see at the end (when SuMetal is crawling upstairs) his head got written "Happy Birthday". - Hideki Aoyama,, god of drums, he comes from a family of expert drummers, and his father is very famous in Japan music scene. During recent World Tour 2023/2024 they got another complete different set of musicians, we called them Western Kami Band, they've been playing with them since 2019, so the Kami Band musicians aren't official members and the girls are the only front women of this group. Next suggestion: - YAVA! with Kami Band intro live at Fox Festival 2017 And if you want to honor Yui and MoaMetal special b'day then these two songs could be a great way: - Chokotto Love live at Legend 1999 (YuiMetal solo). - Love Machine live at Legend 1999 (MoaMetal solo). Yay! Nothing like a Sofi Babymetal reaction drop right at the start of my workday lunch break, woop woop! I laughed really hard when you thought those cryo guns were going to shoot balls. In my head, I literally pictured Electric Callboy jumping in screaming "RATATATA" as Moa and Yui shoots off Babymetal logo'ed bouncy balls full-auto at the audience. HAHAHA! 🤣 The statue: Yes, represents in a way, Statue of Mary. This whole concert has a theme of death and rebirth, representing Babymetal's transition from "J-Pop idols" to "metal goddesses". Show starts with an EDM version of Headbanger, 100% lip-sync'ed in classic J-Pop style, then starts with their poppier songs and the fake "Baby Bones" band for 1st 9 songs. Kami Band shows up for the 5-song encore as Babymetal transitions into heavier songs for the ultimate heavy metal ending. This performance leads right into *Akatsuki Unfinished* (sad Ballad), then the epic show closer, *BABYMETAL DEATH,* where you see what happens to the statue as they wrap up Su-metal's 16th birthday party, and the birth of the phrase #notacult. Oh, since you're doing unboxing on TikTok, perhaps you should get your hands on some Babymetal Funko Pops!! 😉 On your Akatsuki reaction: If time permits, I suggest doing the Unfinished from this show (Legend 1997) first, then the full version from Budokan 2014 second. The full version is my favorite, but both are amazing. 🤘🦊

Keep rockin’ BABYMETAL, Sofia-metal!!! Or would that be "So-metal"? 😊 Even you mentioned it - you're pausing too much. You shouldn't have to pause any more than three times during the video. Also, when you pause, go back about five or ten seconds before resuming, that way you regain the flow of the song. You may or may not know that if you tap your keyboard space bar once it will pause the video, another tap will resume play. Also, if you tap the left arrow key once, it will rewind the video five seconds (a second tap for another five seconds), and tapping the right arrow key will advance the video five seconds. This may also help baffle the YT copyright police. Just sayin'. KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘
