I'm used to listening to Japanese so I could grasp the exact lyrics quite easily but reading the transcripted ones helped me understand some things better, like "ichigo no yoru wo"... Bc at first I was like "wtf is strawberry night ?" 😂 (first meaning coming to mind for Ichigo is Strawberry, not 1 and 5, like it's used in the song), or Kami being used as hair, vs God (like the band) or paper, all 3 being "kami" but with different kanjis 😂

This song is generally top three among fan polls. Babymetal is interesting in that do to the different genres Babymetal does the fan favorites can vary wildly but the top three are generally 1. Megitsune 2.Ijame, Dame, Zetti 3. Headbanger My personal favorite is always going to be No Rain No Rainbow but that’s a ballad piece and I’m a sucker for ballads the singer crushes emotionally. Which she does in the Legend S rendition on the official channel

NRNT is a very good song, i think all the ballads have the best soloes, like the double solo on akatsuki is the best in my opinion. It's weird tho that gimme chocolate doesnt reach top 3, being the most watched video on youtube and its top on spotify too.

Dicodec they have two technically, NRNR is a straight up ballad while ther is another song that gets turned into a quasi ballad. Akasuki which is the normal song, and Akasuki unfinished. Unfinished is the same song but you strip away the instrumentals and it’s just Su singing to a backing piano Akasuki is probably the most popular of Su’s solo songs

Akatsuki from the first album, No Rain, No Rainbow and from the second album, and then im not sure if they are really qualified but Amore from the 2nd album and then the Trio of: Starlight/Shine/Arkadia from the newest album. Starlight is a tribute song for Fujioka Mikio, the guitarist that died while stargazing. these are all fully or mostly Su's solo songs and they have the best soloes ever.

Arttu Viitaniemi Gimmie chocolate is a weird song within the fan base. A lot of fans got into the group because of GC but it was spread around more for how weird it was, rather than it being some great song. People absolutely do love it but some don’t and I think it depends entirely on your temperament. That’s why I think when people show Babymetal to others, gimme chocolate isn’t always the best choice. Depending on the person. That being said I don’t remember how the list goes after three but GC is still up there

This is Su's 16th birthday meaning that the other girls are only 14and a half years old. Can you imagine standing in front of a crowd that big when you are that age. The courage demonstrated by these girls are probably what grabbed those of us that got into it early as much as the music itself. She's just fantastic. NIGHTWISH, BAND MAID AND BABY METAL are the best bands in the world right now and NIGHTWISH have been around since about 1996, and so it just goes to show that a young band can be right up there with the very best.

@@arttuviitaniemi7662 I beg to disagree. To be able to listen properly to the full range of the instruments, the studio version is the best one. No fan cam can get all the bass and drums properly. The good thing about lives, tho, is that it proves w/o a doubt that Su is a Metal Queen of vocals!

This song is about a girl going to a concert at her 15th birthday, but the imagery is actually a tribute to X Japan's Yoshiki. In some performances of this song they wear neck braces just like he does (there was one time even the audience had them lmao) and in the end they collapse after playing a gong which is a thing he actually did one time because his drumming style is so intense and he headbangs a lot to the point of having spinal damage and needing surgery (one of the reasons why X don't put much new stuff). Babymetal's producer Kobametal is a huge fan of X Japan and put a lot of references and tributes into BM's earlier stuff. Su-metal solos Akatsuki and No Rain No Rainbow are tributes to Kurenai and Endless Rain, respectively, and you guys should check them out ;)

⚡ 💀 💕 / 🤘 That was the third song of a five song encore with the live Kami Band. 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!!!' was one of their earliest hits. I was thrilled when they brought it back for the 2019 tour, and I finally got to hear it live at the LA Forum. BTW, even if you don't do a reaction, you should check out the music video for this song. Some of the choreography makes more sense in context.

Wow I'm pretty surprised you hadn't done this song yet. Surely one of my favorites and of everyone else. This song is still in nearly every Babymetal setlist even today. Legend Metal Galaxy version on January 2020 was great. There is also a very pretty interesting version at Legend M on 2019 where Moa sings the song instead of Suzuka.

Most people have already hit the finer points of the song, but not sure if this part got touched upon. They typically change up how they do the breakdown. Some shows have a call & response with Yui & Moa, but this is by far my favorite with the giant fire extinguishers. It's like Su just set the crowd on fire with her singing and they have to put them out. Such a great theatrical piece to an already great song.

You've done almost all of their most popular songs, i went to see them early 2020 in Finland, they did 12 songs total (+future metal opener but it was from track and not played live), 7 from the new album as it was metal galaxy tour, and 5 older songs, Gimme chocolate, Karate, Megitsune, Headbanger and Road of Resistance. most of the latter 5 are played in their every concert, sometimes missing one or two of those.

Eventually you can't set and stage a project in long-term without true believers, yes they still love pop music but Su had a dream to play with Metallica, Moa heard metal music got shocked and then couldn't stop listening and ofc the producer behind all this.
