This is the best live performance of this song so far, it sounds awesome and even better than studio version, my favorite song by them and lyrics are awesome too.

You ought to check out the two other live versions of this song with Yui and Moa taking lead on the song about halfway through. They each got to do those on their 15th birthdays (which, incidentally, is what the song is about- a girl going to a concert on her 15th b'day).

...and, the audience replies, 消える. An epic performance by all involved. And, Su hitting that 48" Zildjian gong at the end is beyond words great.

I haven't seen that version yet. I'm new to BabyMetal since June '16. For a calmer song try "No Rain No Rainbow" I think Black-night is the best (more expert fans help me out). This is a solo with Su.
@rickwagner-8 жыл бұрын
+Duane Zerkle Pretty much any of Su's solos from the Black Night Budokan concert are the best live versions. At least until the Tokyo Dome Red Night & Black Night shows come out on DVD/blu-ray sometime next year.

"Hedoba, hedoba, hedoba, ba-ba ba-ba." Hahaha, yes! I have been binge watchin these reactions and I love them. If you are looking for something a bit different to react to you should check out Band Maid or Wagakki Band. They are pretty good. :)

fun reaction! hard to tell if people are boys or girls in crowd... but most metal fans are boys. yes I'm sure they are tired.. but they are kids.. they recover fast. like little athletes. I'm sure they have trainers etc..to make sure they perform great and don't get hurt or hurt body for next performance. they are probably taken care of like professional athletes.

You posted this a year ago, and was just wondering if you knew what SUZUKA was singing about. Here are some of the lyrics.>>> WITH RAVEN HAIR, TANGLED EVERYWHERE, LEGENDARY, GORGEOUSLY. THIS FLOWER SOON DISAPPEARS FROM ME, FRUITLESS, BLOOMING CRAZILY. IT'S LEAVING ME, WON'T COME BACK AGAIN. SUDDENLY IT'S VANISHING. BUT I WON'T FORGET, ETCHED IN MY HEART. THIS SPECIAL NIGHT MY FIFTEENTH! I'M JUMPING DANCING IN THE AIR! HEADBANGEERR!

Babymetal do have a large Female following, but they have more male fans. Last year they did a concert called Red Mass which was only females allowed.
@agmohdadi8 жыл бұрын
They did started out as idols in Sakura Gakuin. As we all know, the majority of j-idol fans are males. This concert was held on December 21st, 2013 which is before the release of their self-titled debut album, BABYMETAL which was on February 26th, 2014. It's only after the release and how well received their debut album was among the general music listeners that they started to gradually gain more and more female fans.
@robxsiq77448 жыл бұрын
Well, its first off a idol band, which is of course male followers simply for reasons people could perhaps write papers on. But then they went into a non traditional music genre (Metal) which is dominated by male fans to begin with, so picking up female fans is a slow process for them..and not really necessary tbh. If they wanted equal or more female fans, they would have just been pop..and had a mediocre career. Babymetal proves 2 things. 1) Metal is not sexist. its a meritocracy and a army of older grizzled metal fans and rock gods all cheering on BM because they deserve it shows this in spades. and 2) overall genders tend to like different things. females go for more soft music, men go for powerful hard sounds. its not a rule, just a guideline, and this demonstrates perfectly the innate preferences I hope that Babymetal's handlers understand this clearly and target their upcoming anime accordingly (but I fear they will fail and make it some sort of kim'possible style cupcake nonsense targeting the people who dont buy their merch)

DalrathGrub I don't know why everyone is surprised. Metal is a male dominated genre.

Come on people, let's make one thing clear. The last statistic I've seen from Japan news TV was from earlier this year: 34% of fans are are girls and women ! Maybe the boys go see their concerts. And some of the girls are afraid of the mosh pits. Or maybe the girls are still to young to go a concert on their own, but the there are lots of female fans !
@richdandanell29114 жыл бұрын
Yeah.... There're girls there . But like at any heavy metal concert there'll be lot more males . Babymetal is breaking that trend though . Now a days you'll see a lot of girls there . Even old metal head dad's are bringing their little daughters to the shows .

At a concert they perform for 80 minutes, but they have songs with just the main vocalist and songs with just the other 2, so give some a rest. And they don't do (unplanned) encore. Probably because they are tired.

@robxsiq77448 жыл бұрын
strange how you always choose the live versions verses the videos. I mean, their live concerts are intense, but normally for the first runthrough, people choose the videos simply for sound quality and seeing what they were trying to say in the video.
@aroraborealiss778 жыл бұрын
Rob Xsiq Not tryna argue but the Legend of 1997 was/is pretty close to studio version (to me anyways). But I kind've agree that they should start off listening to the album first so they can fully appreciate the love performances and what the crowd adds to the videos.
@robxsiq77448 жыл бұрын
aroraborealiss77 Right, its a decent copy. the official videos however also adds context and motivation of the song..basically its classical music and a fine painting to look at while listening to type thing. Perfect example, Wagakki Band's senbonzakura song sounds fantastic live, but the video...is art.
@rickwagner-8 жыл бұрын
Actually think that's pretty smart. Lots of folks get their reactions to the official videos blocked or muted unless they speed up the video or change the pitch (both of which sound terrible). The audio from the live versions doesn't seem to be monitored the same way.
@Nothing_serious8 жыл бұрын
