If you’re getting emotional about this version, you should see the Moabanger version which they did on Moa’s birthday. For the second verse and chorus, Su passes, with great symbolism her microphone to Moa, and the crowd go wild because they know this mean Moa will take over lead vocals. Watch for Moa’s little smile at the crowd’s reaction.

Best of Sweetie Raction! Yes, it is the drums that set the tone for BABYMETAL. I've been listening to this song for 8 years, and I still can't get enough of it because of the nerve-wracking, drama-like structure in every detail. Their regular live shows are actually short, a little over an hour, which makes sense considering the amount of exercise they put into their dancing. In the early days, they said that every time they performed, they would be as exhausted as if they had run a full marathon. And when I see the reactions of first-time listeners like you, I can't stop watching the reaction videos because it's like going back to when I first heard them myself. Excellent reaction. nothsor has explained what 'Headbanger' is about. It is not biographical as Su was still only 14 when they recorded the song in 2012, but they could relate to it - they were already playing at metal concerts by the time they were 15, not just going to their first one. Legend 1997 was the title of the concert on 21st December 2013, the day after Su-metal's 16th birthday (she was born in 1997). Yui and Moa are 18 months younger, so they were still only 14 ... and if you give two 14 year old girls smoke cannons you know they're going to have fun. The Kami Band in this one were Mikio Fujioka (RIP) and Leda Cygnus on guitars, BOH with his 6 string bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums. They do swap out depending on their availability as they all have their own responsibilities, bands and projects, but these 4 plus Takayoshi Ohmura and ISAO, two more incredible guitarists, have been the main hard core of the Kami Band since 2013 and are the ones you will see in the vast majority of their live performance videos.

Song is about a 15 years old celebrating her birthday going to her first live concert, probably metal, while having melancholy for leaving her childhood behind. Isn't about any of our girls but they embraced this song like it was made for them, you'll find many special versions of this, even when they celebrate 20th Birthday. This was at Legend 1997 in 2013 celebrating SuMetal 16th Birthday, and the whole concert was special, if you want to know the rest of the songs finishing this, those are: - "Akatsuki" Unfinished Version, a beautiful SuMetal solo version with only a piano behind. - "Babymetal Death", be ready for this insane ending. The live concert and also this song got plenty of tributes to the greatest metal bands, like Metallica and X-Japan, specially Yoshiki, the gong at the end is one of those, you'll find more and plenty of this to add to their lore. The image statue behind is a tribute to Lady Justice from Metallica - "And Justice For All". More of this when watching"Babymetal Death". The official MV got homage to Yoshiki from X-Japan, showing the neck brace and the Hedoban god, our girls looking more younger there. Your comments say everything I feel. The songs are powerful and brilliantly played, the concept of 3 girls fronting this kind of music is genius. They're cute yet a little sinister, their coordination is fantastic and lead and support vocals perfect. Their confidence is incredible. I'm not a young man yet I get teary eyed sometimes. The whole spectacle, the sound and the energy completely overwhelm the senses and emotions. The crowd participation is incredible. The 'ki-e-ro' crowd chant moment still gives me goosebumps every time I watch this video, Made all the more effective as the instruments all come back in.When they played this song at the FORUM in LOS ANGELES 10-11-2019 we went crazy.....And we hit the' ki-e-ro' chant right on que and our queen was smiling with approval. In this video, you heard the crowd shout some words at 05:24 and 06:24. The words are "ki-e-ro 消えろ!" meaning "get out of here!" (addressed to crybabies in the metal concert). This crowd's shout in Japanese occurs wherever BM goes on this planet and whenever Su-Metal turns her mic towards audiences. Of course it did in 2019 US tour (20 gigs) and 2020 EU/UK/Russia tour (17 gigs). Last year 2021, eight years after this video, BM played this song in all of 10 BABYMETAL BUDOKAN Concerts with Su's matured voice and Moa's more agitating moves. I witnessed it 9 times at the venue and was enchanted to headbang 9 times ヽ(^o^)丿

Pretty the same thing with "Megitsune" (pronounced Mea-get-su-nea) Legend of 1997. Which I think is better with the use or traditional shamisen. More of Japanese feel to it. Su has the best death stare going.

This concert was on 21 Dec 2013, Su's birthday is 20 Dec. She turned 16!! Yui and Moa are 14. This concert is also the coming out of Babymetal as an stand alone band, independent from Sakura Gakuin. Introducing the Kami band, ending the use of Babybones and music backing tracks. Yui and Moa would continue as members of Sakura Gakuin, Moa was president and Yui was chair of dance, graduating when they became 15. React next to "Karate" at Download to see them with a festival crowd!! Don't think you are ready for Babymetal "Death" that closed this concert.

⚡ 💀 💕 / 🤘 Great song choice. Your joy while watching this one was very clear to see. 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!!' was the third song of a five song encore with the live Kami Band. This song was one of their earliest hits. I was thrilled when they brought it back for the 2019 tour, and I finally got to hear it live at the LA Forum. Even though the song is about a fifteen year old girl taking the train to see her first heavy concert, Su was only fourteen when the studio version was recorded. This performance is from the Legend "1997" concert (December 21st, 2013), named for Su-metal's year of birth. She turned 16 the day before this show. The venue was Makuhari Messe, a convention center outside Tokyo. BABYMETAL perform there quite often. This was a relatively early show, with an audience of around 9,000. Their biggest shows were at Tokyo Dome, with back to back nights of 55,000 people.
